Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Ps3)
Soul Caliber 3 (Ps2)
Super Mario world 2: Yoshi's Island (Snes)
Warioware, Inc (Gba)
Half life 2 episode 1 (Ps3)
Half life 2 episode 2 (Ps3)
Super Mario Land 2 (Gb)
Resident Evil 5 (Ps3)
Radiant (iPod Touch)
Space Invaders Extreme 2 (Ds)
Ginger's Hidden Adventure (Fresh steps mini game) (PC)
Dark Nebula Episode 2 (iPod Touch) *NEW*
Total: 12
Finally glad I was able to get this for free. Second part of the fun tilt the ball through mazes game (beat episode one last year). This one was twice as long and included new enemies and abilities. This game is really fun and I recommend anyone who has an iPod Touch to go get both episodes. This one was a bit tougher, but a pretty solid iPod game. Last level was the best, with a shmup like boss battle. Also they're making and Episode 3. So excited.
Next is probably Pokemon Platinum. Hopefully I can beat it soon cause its distracting me from Paper Mario.

Dark Rift (N64)(Fighting)
TOTAL: 16
Ugh, Dark Rift was pretty bad. I suppose I shouldn't have expected much from a fighting game on the Nintendo 64, but there are a handful of quality fighters on the console, and I really wanted to give this one a chance. No dice though, as what I experienced really just hurt more than anything. I won't criticize its graphics; early 3D had its ups and downs, and while it hasn't aged well, it was considered attractive at the time of its release. I also won't criticize the sound, though I found very little of it memorable.
It's the controls that kill this game. Character control in Dark Rift is more of a suggestion than a reality. Numerous times I would move in to attempt an attack simply to have my character stand there so the CPU could pummel me effortlessly. Jumping was hit-or-miss, as was blocking, and until I figured out I had to mash the attack button as hard as I could every chance I wanted to do so, jumping attacks were almost nonexistent (even with doing that, they still didn't occur 100% of the time I tried).
The AI just makes it worse. You can beat Dark Rift by backing up and jump attacking the CPU opponent over and over again when they charge in, and they almost never learn, even on Hard difficulty. But I also tried playing the game legitimately on Hard, and discovered that the AI can and will rape you if given the chance. I really dislike psychic AI, where you press a button and the computer reacts before you've started the attack's animation. Hell, I even managed to get hit by projectile attacks I had successfully dodged.
There's also not much to do in Dark Rift. There's a practice mode, a story mode (labeled Tournament), and 2 man multiplayer. Beat the game, and you are shown cheat codes to unlock the boss characters. Once you have them...well, that's pretty much it. There's nothing else to do in the game.
If this was the quality of video games Vic Tokai wanted to be making, it's no wonder they got out of the game shortly after Dark Rift's release. If you want a solid fighting experience on the N64, look someplace else, because Dark Rift isn't what you want.

Terranigma (SNES)
Silent Hill (PSX)
I don't play that many games, but I'm happy about finishing those two. Terranigma has always been a favourite of mine since I started playing it about five years ago. Silent Hill I only recently picked up, but it's a great game as well.

I don't get the 12 year old thing. Why would your list give anyone that impression? I certainly didn't think that.mjmjr25 wrote:I've got progress on some much meatier games, but this is the list so far. And no, i'm not a 12 year old boy, despite the meager list of beaten games thus far.

Trax for Gameboy
Super Mario RPG for SNES
Ikaruga for Gamecube
Mercs for PSP
A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! for PSP
Psychonauts for PS2
Firemen for SFC
Crash Bandicoot for PS1
Outrun SP for PSP
Raiden II for PS1
Kirby's Adventure for NES
After Burner: Black Falcon for PSP
Yoshi's Story for N64 *new* I've heard people knock this game as not being as good as Yoshi's Island. I haven't played Yoshi's Island to compare but I still think this game isn't very good. Collecting 30 fruit to complete a level is an interesting concept but it isn't as rewarding as reaching the end of a level or collecting one large prize. The biggest problem I had was the jumping; the only times I would die was when I couldn't properly control Yoshi in midair. The jumping is slightly easier with the Gamecube controller versus the Classic Controller but I can't imagine how it is with the N64 controller

1. Lego Indiana Jones 2 (360) - 1000/1000
2. Star Wars The Force Unleashed II (360) - 1200/1200
3. Afterburner Climax (XBLA) - 200/200
4. Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing (360) - 1000/1000
5. Bully Scholarship Edition (360) - 1000/1000
6. Conan (360) - 1000/1000
7. Aegis Wing (XBLA) - 200/200
8. Harm's Way (XBLA) - 200/200
9. Lego Batman (360) - 1000/1000
Ugh, Lego Batman is my least favorite of the Lego series that I've played so far. It's not a bad game, but toward the end it felt more like a chore than fun. I got it in a bundle with my 360 a couple of years ago because my daughter is into the Lego games big time. She had me play a co-op level with her ages ago so that she could get the "Sidekick" achievement, and I got it too so I had this single achievement sitting there driving me crazy. I finally decided to play the game and knock it out of the backlog. Unfortunately it just didn't have the nostalgic feeling I get from Lego Indy or Lego Star Wars, likely because I'm not a big DC fan and am only a passing fan of Batman. If I was huge into the comics and whatnot I would have probably appreciated it more. Additionally the puzzles in the game were sometimes ridiculously obtuse. I'm all for having to think, but some of the things that you had to do to progress seemed like they were just random. In the end I was glad to cross this one off my list.

This is true, not many 12-year-olds have the ability to play MVS games at home.CFFJR wrote:I don't get the 12 year old thing. Why would your list give anyone that impression? Same here. In fact, what is childish (or like a 12 year old boy) is thinking that we would judge you based on the amount of games you have completed.CFFJR wrote:I don't get the 12 year old thing.
