Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Anyone intrigued by the Kirby Collection that Nintendo plans to release on Wii? They haven't specified which games will be included, other than that they said "fan favorites."

Do you have a link? I've never heard of this. Is it getting an American release?BoringSupreez wrote:Anyone intrigued by the Kirby Collection that Nintendo plans to release on Wii? They haven't specified which games will be included, other than that they said "fan favorites."

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I hope it isn't a limited run. I'd be interested in it. I don't think there's been a kirby collection before. Kirby games can be a bit pricy so a collection would be pretty nice.BoringSupreez wrote:Anyone intrigued by the Kirby Collection that Nintendo plans to release on Wii? If it's limited run, I hope it's like Super Mario All-Stars. As in, not really any more limited than most other games.DinnerX wrote:I hope it isn't a limited run. I'd be interested in it. Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Knowing Nintendo, the obvious ones are garunteed to be on there: the ones that have been ported to the VC. So far, that's KA, KSS, KDL, and K64. KDL is already on the 3DS VC, so count that in there too. Having KDL 1 and 3 wouldn't make sense, so 2 is probably going to be in it. This means every major Kirby from the start to and including 64.BoringSupreez wrote:Anyone intrigued by the Kirby Collection that Nintendo plans to release on Wii? As for spinoffs, Kirby's Avalanche and KDC are both on the VC, so slapping them on the disc shouldn't be an issue. Having NMiDL and KA would be overkill, and anyways, only KTAM has been ported to the 3DS. So, that means the probable list (assuming the only non-VC game they're getting off they're butts to port is KDL2) is:
-Kirby's Dream Land ($4 VC)
-Kirby's Dream Land 2 (NA/ would be $4 VC)
-Kirby's Dream Land 3 ($8 VC)
-Kirby's Adventure($5 VC)
-Kirby Super Star($8 VC)
-Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards ($10 VC)
-Kirby The Amazing Mirror (NA/ would be $7 VC)
-Kirby's Avalanche ($8 VC)
-Kirby's Dream Course ($8 VC)
Altogether that's $62 if you bought them via VC (and considering how two aren't available to the public, you wouldn't even be able to buy all of them), and since Nintendo assumes that most people wouldn't want to hunt down the original carts, they think this is the only way to save money (since it'll probably be $50). I wonder if I could buy the game, keep the extras (art book maybe?), then sell the game, case, and manual on eBay...
EDIT: Just did a bit of research and apparently KDL2 *has* been released for the VC, but only in Japan. Well, this would mean that Nintendo doesn't have to port a single game, they just need to use the Wii and 3DS VC ports and all will be well.
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
If they're going to mimic the Mario collection then I think there's probably going to be far fewer than that, but honestly I'd be happy with a combination of any of the above (and a music cd would be nice tooGameMasterGuy wrote:-Kirby's Dream Land ($4 VC)

Hey, you should see my stand. I can't even keep the TV centered, because I have to fit my PS3 on the top too.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Looks a bit ridiculous on this tiny stand but here's a pic of my new TV.![]()
Nice TV, though. It's cool you managed to get a Sony.

I know that stand's probably sturdier than it looks in the pic, but i can't help but think that it's about to collapse under that TV's weight.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Looks a bit ridiculous on this tiny stand but here's a pic of my new TV.![]()

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Luckily the stand supports 300lbs and the TV is 193lbs. I'll get a larger stand for it soon. The thing really is pretty massive. It's 24" deep and 39" wide.AppleQueso wrote:I know that stand's probably sturdier than it looks in the pic, but i can't help but think that it's about to collapse under that TV's weight.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Looks a bit ridiculous on this tiny stand but here's a pic of my new TV.![]()
