Oh yeah man, I picked up a pair for a christmas gift to my brother in-law. They had been on clearance at my store for a long time. Got mine for $4 as they were 50% off the clearance price and I had a 10% discount. They aren't bad at all!casterofdreams wrote:FYI the Turtlebeach Earforce headset for the Wii U are currently on clearance at Toys'r'us for a cool $10. I picked up the last two.

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
I'm currently playing through Wind Waker HD, and enjoying the gamepad incorporation so far. I played through the original back when it was released, but haven't touched it since. Falls under that sweet-spot between 'oh yeah I remember this' and being long enough ago that I still have to figure out the dungeons/bosses etc.
What's everyone else playing? 2015 seems like it will be a good year for the Wii-U..

Oh man I 100% agree with the Wind Waker HD thoughts. I feel like it was a genuine improvement control wise that makes it worth playing again. Being able to move around and fire arrows in first person mode is just a blast to do! Also, I am a firm advocate against selfies in real life, but in the virtual world selfie away!!!Solus_Emsu wrote:I'm currently playing through Wind Waker HD, and enjoying the gamepad incorporation so far. Just for good measure.
As for what I am playing on the Wii-U, not much actually. I plan on getting through wonderful 101 this year. A game I have had for a while now and just haven't taken the time to complete. My problem is that every Wii-U game I get I devour completely. My library is very hefty, but is all completed, outside of Wonderful 101. Other games I'm looking forward to getting/beating are Captain Toad, which is really hard to find and Splatoon when it comes out.
I mean, we have so much to look forward to this year including starfox and zelda. Good times!

Hahaha touché! My wife and I did receive a selfie stick as a gift, because, and I quote, "How can you capture all the beautiful moments with your new baby when your hands are full!?"AppleQueso wrote:*tucks her giant overflowing selfie folder behind her back*BogusMeatFactory wrote:Also, I am a firm advocate against selfies in real life

I normally dislike racing games, but have been really enjoying Need for Speed Most Wanted U recently. Most of my time is spent exploring, not racing... so that helps.

I agree! Not that the WiiU is more special than another console, but I always enjoyed the most wanted/hot pursuit versions of the Need for Speed Franchise. there is a lot of room to explore and things are a bit more open to play around, which I find to be more fun.ejamer wrote:I normally dislike racing games, but have been really enjoying Need for Speed Most Wanted U recently. Also new Xenoblade and Yoshi games if they are your cup 'o tea. Similar to the Zelda games I really think the gamepad could integrate nicely into a more RPG styled game like Xenoblade. We'll have to see where they take it..BogusMeatFactory wrote:I mean, we have so much to look forward to this year including starfox and zelda. Good times!

I couldn't be more excited to pick up Kirby later today. Pre-ordered from TRU and I get a free Kirby miibo upon pick-up. Also got an email letting me know that my MetaKnight and King DeDeDe are available for pickup at Best Buy.
Finally my Amiibo will do something relevant to gameplay.
