I loved the Last of Us. It wasn't perfect, but told a great story and was fun. The biggest thing you had to look past was your AI partner not triggering enemy AI. However, I think they took the lesser of two evils, as if your AI partner was constantly blowing cover it would ruin the experience. I never had an issue with camera or controls hampering my ability to successfully do what I wanted to accomplish.

I also haven't played it, although I have 2 friends who are increasingly passionate about making me do so.

I even own it and I've still never played it. I will say that you've probably played the two worst Uncharted games, though, from what I've heard.

The Last of Us is - in my opinion - the best game of the last generation in terms of overall artistic brilliance, immersion, and execution.

Well here's my unpopular opinion I guess haha. I really didn't enjoy The Last of Us.

The combat bits were generally really frustrating and I didn't enjoy the story and characters either. It was pretty looking but there wasn't much else that I liked about it.

I have similar opinions about Uncharted 2, but that at least that had some likeable characters, so I like it a little more than The Last of Us.

You're not alone the problematic combat/camera setup of the game put me off it entirely and I got rid of it. The story wasn't bad, but I'm also not part of that wave of walking dead type fans into zombie stuff, so nothing compelled me to keep it. Uncharted 2 controls very little like it and the camera doesn't screw you either, plus the writing was the best of the lot so I don't feel a need to compare them.

I have never played The Last of Us. My PS3 died of a sudden case of YLOD and I never bothered to replace it.
