Noise where I live I never find any dreamcast. I always have to go on ebay or even amazon.noiseredux wrote:not sure. Lifetime, about 10:00 or 10:30 last night...samsonlonghair wrote: So what movie is this?
The Glass House, starring miss Diane Lane.
And to stay on topic, I have to think that the Dreamcast is most likely my favorite console of all time. Though while I was building my PC, I sacrificed a lot of the collection as a quick way to raise funds. It also helped liberate me quite a bit from the compulsive collecting I was doing (that is to say, if I had any $ in my PayPal, I'd peruse eBay and blow it immediately). PC gaming has definitely gotten me out of that mindset, in that I know I can get pretty much any game I want *right now* on Steam, GOG, whatever. So there's really no need to hunt for things unless I'm going to play them *right now.*
At the same time, I wouldn't mind building my DC collection back up a bit. But I was thinking that what I might really try to do is only collect locally. Might be interesting to see how the collection would fill out if yard sales and thrift shops were my only real avenue for picking up games. I don't know... it's a thought. I'm in no real rush to get back into hoarding anything, haha. Plus I've got quite a few months before yard sale season anyway!
How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?

I've had quite a bit of luck in the past actually. Off the top of my head - I know I had found Soul Calibur and Who Wants To Beat Up A Millionaire at yard sales; the rather pricey on eBay NBA 2K2 was scored at a Flea Market for $2 this past year; and I'd say the majority of every sports game I've owned, along w/ a dozen or so non-sports games, plus various boxed accessories have all come from local game stores in my area. I guess I'm just lucky. (Hope I didn't just jinx myself).mas wrote: Noise where I live I never find any dreamcast. I always have to go on ebay or even amazon.
Heck, even my LE JPN version of DOA2 was found locally for about half the price it goes for online.

The HCG101 article has at least some info on that.samsonlonghair wrote:I'd love to know which ports of Crazy Taxi have which soundtrack.

Damn noise that's luck for ya. My flea marketing I had in the past they never have anything. Well this year that's all I'm going to look for this year and maybe a couple 360 stuff. Unlike the other years i would spend about 60.00 a weekend for buying anything and everything. Now if o find a dc game then cool if not then I'm going to be saving big this year. Hell I think ill just bank what i don't spend in a savings account and see how much I save at the end of the summer.

The 360 version is kind of a wonky port gameplay wise too. I can't put my finger on it but something's off about it.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Okay thanks.

SO glad I'm not the only one. I just turn the music volume down and the sounds up. Same with CT2. Just can't get into that stuff.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Crazy Taxi is probably the only video game that I consistently play on mute.
Oh wait, I did it with THPS2 when we did that on TR also. Not really a big fan of licensed music in games.

I like The Offspring and Bad Religion personally, I was really into them in high school.
It does get repetitive in Crazy Taxi though.

alright so, I figured I'd stop by my local shop to see what DC games they had in stock. I grabbed 18 Wheeler for $8. They also had UFC, World Series 2K2, Toy Commander, NCAA College Football, Spec Ops II, (and 3 or 4 games I already own) but I decided to just grab the one game I'd play now since I've been in the mood for a new racing game.

It would help a lot if the game had more than 4 songs.Gunstar Green wrote:I like The Offspring and Bad Religion personally, I was really into them in high school.![]()

I love the Offspring and always have, yet I still get a bit bored of the music after playing Crazy Taxi for a bit.

I can never play the game for long-periods of time. It's great in short bursts, but it gets repetitive fast.CFFJR wrote:It would help a lot if the game had more than 4 songs.Gunstar Green wrote:I like The Offspring and Bad Religion personally, I was really into them in high school.![]()

I got more enjoyment out the Simpsons' rip-off game anyways, just because the Simpsons fan in me would get a little giddy about seeing this or that around town.
