RPG Progress Report
Re: RPG Progress Report
Well damn. I took a short break from The 7th Saga due to that annoying "no magic curse" section, but this weekend I got back in the swing of things. I just beat Gariso for the Wizard Rune, and then everything just kind of went to shit. Kamil and Valsu are level 40, and I am currently working my way up to level 41 around the town of Pharano. I miss my map. I miss my runes! I wonder if I will ever see the other apprentices again...

Grrr, second Paralogue is kind of annoying on Lunatic mode, but I'll beat it eventually. I think I'll just start chapter 6 and come back to it later. Anna looks like a cool character though so I wanted to do it first, but I have a hard time getting to her and saving her before she gets killed. Oh well.
Lunatic mode is becoming more manageable overall. Still getting my butt kicked a little bit, but my party is getting a bit stronger. The EXPonential Growth stage from the Golden Pack DLC helped a lot since it makes level grinding so easy. Frederick is still far and away the most useful character though. God he's overpowered. I love using him

If it helps, you don't actually get Anna in that Paralogue. Instead, beating it will unlock a different Paralogue down the line, and you have to have made sure she survives Paralogue 2 to be elligible for recruitment in the later one.Gamerforlife wrote:Grrr, second Paralogue is kind of annoying on Lunatic mode, but I'll beat it eventually. mwahahahaha I love how fiendish that section of the game is.Ack wrote:Well damn. It's like the developers said "As if this game isn't hard enough... here's another kick in the balls."
Re: RPG Progress Report
Yeah when you get Frederick he is already an advanced class, so he pretty much rocks.Gamerforlife wrote:Grrr, second Paralogue is kind of annoying on Lunatic mode, but I'll beat it eventually. I finished all of the Paralogues and now I'm back working through the main story and just started Chapter 17. Should be a fun run to the end!
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Almost done with Lost Odyssey: I'm at that pivotal moment in most RPG's where the game becomes sandbox-like and all of the sidequests before the final showdown happens. I tend to get overwhelmed with all of the choices!

Been a while since I've updated, but I other stuff came up. Restarted suikoden 2 cause I missed a character. This time I played around with the muse-matilda border glitch and got Futch and Humphrey early. Picked up some double beat and killer runes. Just beat the first battle you have Shu for. That scene where he joins you is awesome. Right now I'm leveling up my party before taking the boat across the lake to escort what's his name. Currently using Riou, Futch, Rina, Luc, Clive, and I think Freed.

It definitely got a bit repetitive towards the end, but yeah the finale was well worth it.Blu wrote:Almost done with Lost Odyssey: I'm at that pivotal moment in most RPG's where the game becomes sandbox-like and all of the sidequests before the final showdown happens. Re: RPG Progress Report
I'm now level 43 with both Kamil and Valsu and have just arrived in past Melenam. Kamil is now wearing the best armor in the game! Woo! I can feel the end swiftly approaching...
Oh, and while I was worried about having lost my runes, Valsu now has Elixir, which means I can completely heal up during and after each battle. The only downside is that Valsu only has enough max MP to case it once, so I tend to have him buff and heal Kamil with other spells and then restore himself with it ever couple of rounds. It has made the fights considerably easier to deal with.
