There's no Game Crazy stores in Oregon anymore.
And GameStar, every location I've been to (about three) has been garbage. They are severely overpriced (they use Amazon for pricing) and they usually siphon off the decent stuff coming in to be sold online. So the selection is pretty much garbage.
Game Trader on Cedar Hills is fantastic. And sadly they aren't doing well. I love walking out of there with stacks of stuff. They have ultra-cheap PS2 and PS1 games. And are very fair. For the last year or so, they've had a buy 2 get 1 free deal on everything used as well.
A store to add for Oregon:
P3 Gaming
419 SW Coast HwyNewport, OR 97365
(541) 264-8428
I've talked to the owner a couple times I've been down at the beach, and he's doing it for the passion. He refuses to sell online or at cons, he's really adamant about selling it to people who come in locally.
The prices aren't "amazing", but they are below eBay, usually, unless it's an extremely hot item. But there's plenty of decent priced PS1 and SNES stuff. Tons of good priced NES carts. Genesis is decently priced, and some PS3 stuff is decently priced. 360 stuff seems to be a little over priced. He claims for this gen and last gen, he goes by GameStop prices, mostly. Everything else is ebay.
They are negotiable. And they actually charge way less for greatest hits copies (Most cases it's almost half), so if you just need a copy and you don't care, it's much cheaper.
There's multiple gaming places along that Highway 101 on the coast, and most stores are not very good. Severely overpriced in most instances.

Re: Retro Game Store Directory
Update time! Sorry I haven't been around lately. I have some more free time during the summer, so now I can update a bit more frequently!
Yeah, that's such a shame; they always had a bunch of unique things. I bought tons of issues of Nintendo Power from them, since so few game stores actually stocked game magazines.

This store has been closed since December of last year. Pretty sure all his stuff went over to Game Changers.

Thanks for the update.
I have yet another update on J&W Video Games in the USA Fleamarket (can you believe it)?
When I first visited them in January they had 1 booth. Then in February, 2 booths. Now they're partnering up with a comics & collectibles business and they now have *3* booths. They just moved in, so it was a bit cramped unfortunately. But now it's totally indoors and air conditioned
Amend the listing as such (everything else is the same):
J&W Video Games:
Booths 68 & 70 74, 76, & 78 on 3rd Ave.
USA Fleamarket
11721 US Highway 19
Port Richey, FL 34668
(727) 645-7005
Note: Open Fri/Sat/Sun 9am-4pm
https://www.facebook.com/pages/JW-Video ... 1081028174
Hopefully this is it. Either they're getting bigger or some sort of a deal on the rent or something
Personally, I like they're just across the highway from GameTraders North, so if I strike out there, I'll always find something at GT.
EDIT: GameTraders now has an official website -- www.gametraders.biz if you can add it. They'll ship to you too!

Thought I already posted this, but it is not in the OP listing. Another BookOff opened last March in California, a huge store. That makes six BookOff stores I can drive to within two hours. Well with La La land parking lot freeways add another hour or two.
Book-Off [Lakewood]:
334 Lakewood Center Mall
Lakewood, CA 90712
562-634-6000

This store is going to be the 6th store in Southern California, and is a part of BOOKOFF's plan to expand its stores in the American market. Lakewood Center Mall store will have floor area of 8,504 sqft, and will carry 200,000 items including books, video games, music CDs, DVDs, iPads, iPods, Kindles and other electronic goods. The store will be the largest used bookstore chain in the west coast.
"We are targeting to open 2 or more stores annually in the west coast."

Apparently a experimental new brand goodwill is going for that will supposedly have discounts on tech stuff(off of what it goes for of course) hopefully this means discounts on games too since they were going off price charter the last time i was in there a few months ago

The Game Force in Aurora Colorado at Illiff and Chambers is OVER priced. Don't know if anyone else has said anything about this particular store.

Game Sack talked about Game Force's Boulder location in a very early episode

+1
I stopped by there this weekend, and I was quite impressed by it.
