Lolwut? You really think they aren't all about to get sued in civil court by pretty much every dev that wasn't involved with the indie fund? Not to mention the possible criminal charges for conspiracy. You really think nothing is going to happen? Ok but I know if I had paid my own money to enter a contest and found out that the winners were chosen by people that had a monetary interest in the winners I'd be out for blood.

Also fez really isn't that good, but I would need to look over what other games were entered that year. Even still though it has been said that many of the judges never bothered to even play the games.

And wait picking judges specifically because they have money tied to the games they will be judging isn't completely fucked up in your book either then?

Sorry for brevity, but I'm on my phone.

1.) Suing people costs money, which indies don't have.
2.) I listen to several developer podcasts and they are sick of the recent "conspiracies are everywhere" such as the thing with Zoe Quinn. So I believe many would drop this for that too, so as not to drag it out.
3.) I didn't say there was nothing wrong with it, I'm just not sure that everyone had malicious intent; its clearly a conflict of interest.
