I truly had no idea. What might help to understand where I'm coming from is that I haven't had cable television since Seinfeld went off the air... so I'm pretty out of it when it comes to some pop culture.

Do you use Seinfeld as an example just because you remember it was around the time you stop using cable? Or is it that the Seinfeld series finished and you no longer had a need for cable?

My wife wanted to keep cable long enough to see the end of her favorite series. After it went off the air, we cancelled cable TV and haven't had it since.

I can understand why though, there's no point in having a cable sub when you can do hulu, netflix, funimation, crunchyroll, etc and get the same thing almost(too bad it's a pain in the butt if you want to watch your favorite shows shuffled but in episode order...)
