Put 2 more runs in last night. Best so far is a little over 120k into Stage 3. I'll probably put a few in today and submit an actual score.

From what I've seen and heard, I'll go with the first one, "Felly".

Taken just before the screen went away, even though the Retron 5's screenshot resolution leaves much to be desired. Genesis port much easier by a mile so far.

Uggh, I wasted an hour on this. Just sorta happened. We were alone in the room together and our eyes met.

Anywho - the clay pots are easy now. Kill the first 2 waves from outside the pots, then kill the last 2 waves inside the pots. Then the pots start rotating - kill any two to create a gap, then use that gap to back out and take out the rest from a safe position.

Didn't get past 2nd boss though. No idea what score was. Last I saw was 85K or something.

This game's pretty crazy. I made it to the boss where the heads start detaching Stage 2 I think. I couldn't see the score after I died but it was 124???, Genesis version. This game's surprisingly fun. I guess it helps that I'm playing it blind and coming in with low expectations.

Got past the pots with full power. That lasted for all of about a minute, then I had to slog around the underground portion with all my lives and no speed to speak of. The original arcade version is brutal. I think I'm liking the Genesis port more.

Spent a little more time with the Genesis version. The Stage 3 chase section kills it for me.

Your reward for making it through the "griffin knights" is this boss that can take a heck of a lot of charged shots. Add random axes from the skeletons and this will ruin any kind of run you'll have.
