Due to my overspending on video games recently, I have been put on a ramen diet as my "punishment".

Made chicken a la king last night.

Going to try something bizarre I saw on a food show: Home made french fries, sliced flank steak, avocado, pico de gallo, and chipotle-mayo sauce, wrapped in a burrito sized tortilla.

Also on the menu for this week:

Crab cakes with slaw and pressure cooked string beans
Pasta Primavera
Chicken Picatta
Ragù Bolognese
Jamaican Beef Stew

from what i have heard you can boil beef bones and drink the marrow. Some of it leaches out into the broth, and sometimes you have to break the bone and eat the soft marrow.

edit: my mama says that you boil the bones and then use that same water in a vegetable soup.

The marrow from the veal shank is to die for.

That's what I do right now. I make broth in the slow cooker, then add it to my vegetable soup. I've also been told I should add some vinegar to my broth which should partly dissolve the bones. Gonna try that next time...

No veal for me, same reason I don't eat foie gras.

But I guess I could replace it with beef shank tenderized in the slow cooker.
