Glad to see that Harrison Ford retains the punch sound effect from Indiana Jones. Although it sounds weaker but I suppose age is accountable for that.fastbilly1 wrote:I do say:OldSchool_Boy wrote: Harrison Ford you say? Hmmm

My friend and I call it the "All Purpose Impact Sound."OldSchool_Boy wrote:

It's literally the best/coolest "punch sound" of all time. It would be awesome if the sound effect turned into the next Wilhelm Scream and ended up in tons of movies.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Possibly, but the punch sound when the Punisher caves in a guy's face with one blow is also in the top three "punch sounds".indecks wrote:

Amélie is a fantastic movie by the same guy who directed City of Lost Children.noiseredux wrote:I'm not joking when I say I'd rather we just switch gears and talk about chickflicks already.

Drive. Pretty damn good (great filming and music), but I could have done without the extremely violent death scenes.

I disagree, turned that shit off after 30 minutes. Brian Eno's overused music gave me the hint not to persevere, and I obligedtimewarpgamer wrote:Drive. Pretty damn good (great filming and music), but I could have done without the extremely violent death scenes.

Stake Land
Watchable, but instantly forgettable. Might have worked better as a mini-series with a slightly bigger budget.

A rather average superhero adaptation that went on about 30 minutes too long. Hugo Weaving is underused in this flick, he could play much better villains!

I just updated my list of movie reviews I have done in this thread, and I am now over 200!
210 reviews, to be exact, since May of 2009 when I started cataloging moves I've seen on this thread. I am sure I've missed a few along the way, but essentially that means I've seen at least one movie every four days for the past two years.
If you want to check out the list, it is here: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... start=2784
