Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
For that particular game, just the card.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Must be a pretty old card. The main requirement looks to be Pixel Shader 3.0, which is 2005/2006 model timeframe for introduction.

How old is your set up? I played through it a few months ago on XP and hardware that was upgraded (and not bleeding edge) back in 2008 with 1600x1200 and high settings. It was not 60 fps the whole time, but it was fine.Ack wrote:Amnesia

It's not age there. I am using a laptop with an integrated Intel graphics card which Amnesia is not compatible with.Hobie-wan wrote:How old is your set up? Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Yeah, pretty much. Back in 2010 I had a desktop, but it got fried one morning while I was trying to work. I had a job that required I be able to search online regularly, so I got the laptop as a stopgap, but as I couldn't afford new computer parts, I ended up having to pitch the desktop. Long story short, here I am several years later with no computer but the laptop, and its too old and too incapable to do much these days. So I pretty much have to build a desktop from scratch. I've discussed it several times on these forums, but any time I think I am at a point I can do it, something comes up that takes my time and/or my funds for such a project, so I have yet to get around to it. Currently I'm in the process of moving and likely won't have the funds to pursue such a thing until I pay off a couple of debts.Hobie-wan wrote:Ah yes, the useless for everything but internet and videos integrated graphics. Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I'm lucky enough to have a desktop that will last for this generation of consoles should I keep it that long. Overclocked 8350 and a 7970 don't seem to have any problems chewing through anything I throw at it on near highest quality at 1080/60.
Living in two places though, it would be nice to just have a decent laptop. So we'll see.

Older. Not wiser.
