Is it a pill? I have a cat that literally will make itself puke to get a pill back up if I manage to get one down his gullet. Jerk.Flake wrote:Ticked: Having to give my cat oral antibiotics. She's like a fluffy tornado.

Syringe full of liquid stuff. She makes quite the fuss. I am drinking a beer right now to get myself ready for this fight / the painful scratching.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I think we were talking about this before... Shoving the syringe into a cat's mouth is never any fun. Luckily for me and my recently adopted cat, he takes pills like a champ. I just get those pill pocket things and he eats them right up. I noticed a couple of times the pill would fall out of his mouth onto the floor while he was eating the pocket, but then he just eats the pill off the floor (with no pocket!).
Flake, have you tried using pills with pill pockets before? I know it really depends on the cat. My other cat, I doubt she'll eat a pill pocket (she can be a real bitch) so you just gotta bite the bullet and use the syringe.

This is her first time getting any kind of medication in about 7 years. I don't think those existed last time she was sick.

Frown: Someone went into my friend's car late at night, stealing his stereo, loose cash, and supposedly two watches (I call bullshit. Who keeps two watches, unless they're pieces of junk in their car?).
Smile: Our chat (I'll be in the blue font as I'm usually sarcastic anyway).
Some fucker broke into my car.
That's awful man. Were a lot of cars broken into in your neighborhood?
A few actually.
Awful.
Asshole stole two watches, my cd player, plus some loose cash I had lying around.
Why did you have loose cash visible in your car?
Who doesn't?
You're kidding me. Loose change I get, but leaving cash in plain view is as dumb as leaving bank receipts in your car. Wait, what? You had TWO watches in your car? Why?
I don't wear them that much anymore. Besides, you're missing the point. I live in a nice neighborhood, haven't have to worry about someone breaking into my car.
Did they jimmy the door, or smash a window?
I had a blown fuse just that day, so I couldn't lock my doors.
You're kidding me. Excuses?
Luke, you're a dick.
Fine, but that doesn't make you less of a complete fucking moron. Where the fuck is your brain man? Duder, fifteen cents for a fuse, or swap one out. You left your doors unlocked, left cash in plain view, and didn't collect any valuables? How were you accepted to any college?
Not cool. I was robbed. Not right.
Duder-face, hate to say it but you fucked yourself on this one, and I know you got jacked, but you made yourself an easy mark, mark.
Change of topic.
Sure. You and your girl plan on coming to my birthday party?
No.
You make very, very dumb decisions.

Heh, surly jabs for sure, but yeah. 2 minutes plus detour time to any auto parts/drug/grocery/department store for a fuse. Or at the very least, grab absolutely everything loose out of the console and glovebox and take it inside with you. You don't even leave trash in your car or some numb nuts will think there's buried treasure. Also, thieves go to the nice neighborhood to steal the nice stuff. Duh.

The guy is a successful lawyer but has no common sense.
I know that if a thief wants in, he'll find a way, but leaving doors unlocked and leaving visible cash is like a welcome mat to derelicts. It's puzzling how people can be so stupid and then blame others for their own mistakes.
It's not a perfect world, treat it a such. Watch your own behind, and if not suffer the consequences.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
This car break in talk reminds me...
A couple of years ago my wife and I went into downtown Denver with a couple of friends to grab some pizza (for the other Colorado members on the boards, it was Marco's Coal Fired Pizzeria on 21st and Larimer. Awesome pizza, go try it).
There's a small lot next to the building where I always park. There was nothing valuable in the car save for our radio, but I took off the faceplate and brought it in with us. When we came out a couple of hours later, someone had broken into the car (jimmied it somehow), made a huge mess tossing the contents of our glove box and console everywhere, and left our doors wide open.
They stole a sweatshirt/jacket I had in there, and that's it. I never understood why they bothered to take the shirt, but I always figured it was some sort of "fuck you".

^That happened to me once. They broke into my car, found nothing at all, so they took my coat.

Some kids are just jerks. I may have or may not have been huge into graffiti, but if I did take part of such rebel acts of art the buildings were always abandoned or not suited for future use.CFFJR wrote: They stole a sweatshirt/jacket I had in there, and that's it. Smile: Plans for a LA comedy tour are almost set. By tour, I mean hopefully four, four minute sets in two days (that's a lot for someone with my silly comedy resume). Have places to stay, have free transportation (once in LA), and have a lot of friends to support me. Plan is to start putting $50-100 away a week for a few months and plan on visiting in December 2012 or January 2013.
I haven't been this excited in a while. Has nothing to do with ego, just looking forward to that rush of being on stage and making people laugh. That, and I really hope to make my cousin comedian counterpart very proud. If not for her, I would never have stepped on stage.
Frown: It's only 9:30pm and I'm tired.
