Rockman X2. I don't have a desire to buy Dracula X. I've only had a couple problems with JP sellers, but apparently they were flukes, and a lot of people still vouch for those sellers. Every other time I've had zero problems. I hear a lot about how clean the JP carts are compared to US ones, but honestly, I've never seen as much sharpie on US carts as I have JP ones. Then again, it's in hiragana or kanji, so it looks all right.Hazerd wrote:Dracula X or Rockman X2? also i try to find US sellers, but most SFC games i see for a decent price are also JP sellers, is it safe either way?o.pwuaioc wrote:You'll save money if you do a JP BIN compared the US release, but you'll save way more money if you wait for an auction. They often don't reach half the price of BINs. That goes for most imports in general.

I've gotten a lot of SFC games form JP sellers on eBay, haven't had a problem yet. You just need to be patient with the shipping.Hazerd wrote:Dracula X or Rockman X2? also i try to find US sellers, but most SFC games i see for a decent price are also JP sellers, is it safe either way?o.pwuaioc wrote:You'll save money if you do a JP BIN compared the US release, but you'll save way more money if you wait for an auction. And boom, #241 arrived, cleaned, and tested. I am now the happy owner of Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen.

I initially purchased a Japanese Breath of Fire II because it was cheaper (I can read Japanese). Then I ended up buying a US cart.
In general, I now buy Japanese games only if the game was exclusive to Japan. I love how cheap Super Famicom RPGs are. Some of the last ones I purchased were Far East of Eden Zero, Legend of Heroes II, and Dragon Knight 4 - $1.50 each.
Ack - just in time for Together RPG!

Recently got a complete copy of Robotrek in the mail...I've heard a lot about this game, so I'm pretty happy to add it to my collection. Next on my list to buy would either be Spike McFang, Sparkster, or Final Fantasy II.

It's the only RPG in my SNES rpg collection that I've beaten (I beat a bunch of them in rom format, but when I finally got an SNES in 2011 I didn't have any time to play all those retro games I got, but that one was too special for me (it was the first game I got for my SNES too now that I think about it. Flake helped me with it too

I really need to spend more time with Robotrek. But I have a bunch of other games to go through first...
I will likely finish Lagoon in the next couple of days, and then the Together RPG group for Ogre Battle starts...what, Sunday? And at some point I need to finish up both Secret of the Stars and Live A Live!
I may make it a point this year to knock out more SNES RPGs.

Haha. Beating a single RPG takes me forever usually (2 months is my record with FF XIII, my longest was 7 months with Xenoblade Chronicles), so seeing someone say he will tackle many at the same time makes me think it's impossible.Ack wrote:I really need to spend more time with Robotrek. So focus on Robotrek cause I say so
