Check out the Super Skrull series that ties in with Annihilation. Really is worth a read.

I have it in my read pile of comics which I recently ordered from ComicCollectorLive.com. I've already finished the Nova and Ronan ones, and Super-Skrull was next on the agenda.

Enjoyed Nova, Starlord wasn't bad, loved Super Skrull, couldn't get into Ronan at all. I know not to judge a book by its cover, but the cover art was bad ass and what was inside was...cartoony. Couldn't get into the story either.

I can agree with the Ronan sentiment. I was really disappointed because in the main Annihilation mini, he was one of my favorite characters. It definitely would have been a lot better with a better artist.

I didn't get Starlord. I was gonna pick up the Annihilation: Conquest spin-offs on another order, right now I just have the main Annihilation: Conquest mini (and prologue) and all the original Annihilation stuff.

I also expected Ronan just being out of bubblegum with extreme anger. He's a great character I could see fitting in the Marvel Studios Universe (not to spoil anything, but you know who showed up in the Avengers, and the writing team is bonkers about using the super powered but less appreciated villains) but his solo was super disappointing.

StarLord had too many characters that weren't established, so one one did get knocked off. it was a "who cares?" moment. Looked pretty great, and there was potential for the characters, but it didn't deliver.

I still read it though and think it has lots of potential. Wish it didn't feel like a forced tie-in, which it was.

Right around the same time Silver Surfer Requiem was released. You might want to check it out. Incredible art, decent story, and has a great panel with Surfer making okay with the Fan 4.

^Saw that on the facebook page yesterday. Uber excited. Though, I was saddened at how many people thought it was somehow related to the movies, and they all went on about how Ledger couldn't be replaced...

And the fact it was for the comics was directly stated. Idiots.

I don't really blame them too much, but still...

...okay nevermind I can't even imagine how on earth that image could be related to the movies in any way.

The first issue of Detective Comics showed the Joker having the skin on his face removed... in my reviews for every issue since then I have complained that Tony Daniel has not revisited that issue. Now that I saw that image I am happy that the story is being passed on to more capable hands to craft an awesome story.

I gave up on Detective. It had such an awesome first issue, and then kind of went downhill for me. I went back and read Snyder's run on Detective before the New 52 reboot though, and it was so damn good. That guy can write some kickass Batman stories. I think Batman and Batman and Robin are the best Bat books at the moment, but I also enjoy Batgirl and Birds of Prey. They've got such a great cast on Birds, the crazy samurai chick and Poison Ivy? Yes please.

Is it me or has the x-men line just completely went off the rails.

The 60s x-men are showing up in 616 now? Cable has his metal arm again? ultimate nick fury in the 616 now?

What the hell happened?

Wikipedia says there is a Game Stop exclusive edition of THE INCREDIBLE HULK where you can play as the Red Hulk/Rulk. No one at my local GS has a clue what I'm talking about.

Is this just DLC, does a rare Hulk 260 GS exclusive even exist?
