What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I am increasingly convinced that you have horrible taste in movies.
It is his taste and he's entitled to it, but yeah. He actually liked Green Lantern, thought Wolverine Origins was good, thinks Daredevil is *chuckles* underrated, and thinks Chasing Amy is terrible and a "chick flick".

But again, like what you like. With that said, I'd say oh, 90% of critics and normal movie goers disagree with BD on his taste in movies. Chasing Amy was brilliant. The dialogue, casting, story, character development, plot, and the emotional roller coaster that it provided was some of Smith's best work. It made viewers uncomfortable without having to use tons of imagery. You could cut the tension with a knife in a few scenes. And Jason Lee was incredible, even more than Affleck if you ask me. And if you don't ask me, I just asked myself, so there! There's that, and the fact Kevin is still very, very proud of the film.

Yeah, cut off the end of that sentence to take it completely out of context: "when it comes to those movies."

I don't like love stories/date movies, sue me.
The rest of the quote really makes no difference in the overall meaning, your explanation of why you thought Chasing Amy was garbage was that you don't like that kind of movie (like most "macho" men). I took that to mean that you think all "love stories/date movies" are poor films, which is just not at all true. Many are trash, just as many comic book films are trash, but a good critic would still be able to recognize quality in a genre that they don't much care for.

I too am not real big on romantic films/romantic comedies, but when they are genuinely witty, well acted, and well directed like Chasing Amy or any number of great romantic films from the much earlier Golden Age of Hollywood, I can appreciate those gems.

Halloween and Halloween 2 (both original versions not the remakes) on BD. It's October so I usually have horror movie marathons during this time, not that any other month isn't a good time to have a horrorthon. Most people watch Christmas Story or White Christmas and other classics during Christmas time while I'm watching Silent Night Deadly Night or Black Christmas! My own personal christmas classics!
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

Same here, I love watching Black Christmas with my friends in December, it's so chilling.

Also, I loved Halloween 1 and I didn't like 2 much but they are pretty fun. As for the remakes... at least Rob Zombie tried to do something different although he ended up making one of the most unnecessarily nihilistic films I've ever seen.

same. We always watch Christmas Evil, Silent Night Deadly Night 1 & 2, and Black X-Mas (I really love the remake).

Is the remake really good? I love the original and it's creepy, dark atmosphere so I hope they kept that in the remake.

I actually found that one to be a lot of fun. But not quite as hilarious as Jack Frost... Shannon Elizabeth, shower, carrot nose, OMG funny.

I can't believe I forgot that movie, considering that Shannon Elizabeth gets raped by a snow man  .
