my last local Blockbuster bit the dust in 2009.Opa Opa wrote:After using a gift card I picked up Android Assault for the Sega CD for $20 (brand new).
Then I went to my local Blockbuster because they are going out of business. Picked up Lawrence of Arabia for $6. Although I do love the film I bought it more as a memento to remember that store by because I remember all the games I discovered by renting at that store.
Ahh... memories... And now that I'm thinking about it, I remember some games I still gotta pick up.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Not really a huge find but interesting nonetheless,
I few months ago I picked up Cybermorph from a used bookstore for dirt cheap but was a little disappointed it didn't have the controller overlay as the employee said they had attached it to the game and it must have been lost. Meh, no big deal as the game was dirt cheap.
Yesterday I picked up a copy of Ganbare Morikawa Kimi 2nd Pet in TV Limited Edition, a Japanese PS1 game in that same bookstore, which comes with a whole bunch of world cards and two manuals. In between all those cards just so happens to be the missing Cybermorph overlay from months ago.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Goodwill came through again today!
Game Boy (original)
Crappy earphones
Tiny Toon Adventures: Babs' Big Break (GBX)
Solar Striker (GBX)
All for $5.39 after tax.
Too bad the Game Boy doesn't work. The screen protector is peeling too. Looks like I'll just have to sell it for parts. At least I already have one.
