Anyone here an Ulrich Schauss fan? He's probably my most listened to artist over the past few years.

It's crazy how much BOC samples and backmasks. There's a wiki out there that shows nearly all they've done to their songs. It's interesting to go a little bit deeper into them that way.

I know of Ulrich, this one I find to be good. It was so good, Axl Rose of GnR sampled it for this off Chinese Democracy without permission, and then got promptly sued by Ulrich and his label.

I heard about that lawsuit. That's hilarious. As for Schnauss, his Goodbye album is somewhat of a masterpiece if you enjoy ambient, shoegaze style electronica. Very warm and organic sounding stuff.

This blimp was spotted over a festival in London.

I hope this means what I think it means.

Of all this 80's cyberpunk styled throwback stuff (as always I have no idea what to call this stuff haha), I think I might dig Perturbator the most.

If you mean a release of new material, I hope so too.

I like Perturbator a lot too. The genre goes by many names, but the label I most like is "Outrun Electro", though not that many of the tracks actually sound like Outrun to me.

Here's some others to check out:

I am Ballz deep in this whole scene. Synthwave, Dreamwave, Outrun, whatever you wanna call it—there is a treasure trove of great music to be found within.

If you wanna dig deeper, check out the folks I follow on SoundCloud (link in sig) for a great starting point.

Also, check out Synthetix.fm for what is arguably the best blog repping this stuff online today.

I just found out that Griz released another free album! The new one is called Rebel Era. If you missed his previous one, Mad Liberation, it was fantastic with big swinging bits that were dope as a hell.

You can get both albums here:

Thanks again to skate323k137 for introducing me to him further back in this thread. 8)

Watched the Smash Bros. documentary and the intro music really stuck out in my mind.
