What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendations

Try Gurren Lagann if you haven't yet. It's filled with ridiculous/awesome robot action.

Be sure to follow up with the manga if you liked it, it handles the entire storyline much better than the anime in general, and goes far beyond the seemingly bizarre cliffhanger ending of the anime.Michi wrote:I finished watching Berserk last night.....My, that ended abruptly.

Your opinion is invalid.ZeroAX wrote:and after the time skip Gurren Lagann became shit imo
Also, have you watched Soul Eater? I'd recommend that.

Hm.... if you want something along those lines, perhaps Hellsing Ultimate, Great Teacher Onizuka, or Trigun? Samurai Shamploo seems like a show along those lines as well but I haven't seen it myself.ZeroAX wrote:Guys can someone recommend me an anime with a good (for anime) plot and characters, but which isn't too heavy and "deap". Something to pass the time, but also to have me hooked for what happens next. (Some random examples of what I'm looking for would be Code Geass, Deathnote.....Haruhi Suzumiya?....not sure....anyway, Full Metal Alchemist)

Just finished FLCL recently... I really liked it. Finally getting around to Samurai Champloo (which is weird seeing Cowboy Bebop is my all time favorite!) and I'm on disc 2 of the Blu-ray set currently. So far so good. Not my favorite but better than Samurai 7 for sure.

Hm, I've seen GTO and Trigun and I liked them, so since you seem to have gotten what I'm kind of looking for I'll give the other 2 a tryHm.... if you want something along those lines, perhaps Hellsing Ultimate, Great Teacher Onizuka, or Trigun? Currently watching Fate/Zero. The story is a bit goofy, but it's a good series. Definitely worth a watch.
Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendat
Would have to agree, the first part of the series just had this awesome feel that was completely lost in the second half. Although I do have to admit the final few episodes were greatness.ZeroAX wrote:Seen it....anything else? (and after the time skip Gurren Lagann became shit imo)
As far as Hellsing goes, be sure you watch Hellsing *Ultimate*. It's a near perfect adaption of the manga, whereas the original series trails off (one of those series that got an anime before the manga was finished) and becomes shit. Hellsing Ultimate blows the original series out of the water.Hm, I've seen GTO and Trigun and I liked them, so since you seem to have gotten what I'm kind of looking for I'll give the other 2 a try
