I have access to a supercomputing cluster. :D

Cray CS300-LC Linux Cluster
- 2560 compute cores (2.8 GHz Intel Xeon E5-2680 v2), 128 nodes
- 15,360 coprocessor cores (Intel Xeon Phi 5110P), two per node
- 8 Terabytes of RAM
- FDR InfiniBand Network

Not for gaming, though...

Except... I don't own it, so not really. Just a cool tidbit, though. ;)

Sarge wins, he has access to a bigger Cray than I do.

To be fair, I was going to use one of my servers as my test bed - dual quadcore Xeon 5400s, 128 gigs of DDR3. I have the horsepower to cover the lack of GPU...

I need to talk my coworker into setting up Doom or Quake in the CAVE again. I missed out on it the last time they did that.

I think the point of contention is that when we say "gamer" we mean "hobbyist". It's like the difference between "movie buff" and "movie goer", IMHO.

What gods of gaming? My PC is probably as strong as or stronger than most people here.

Ill bite, are we going for one single computer or the cluster? Also how would you like to measure raw power? Is FLOPS acceptable?

If your computer is a stand-in for penis size, do you really want to measure it in FLOPS?
