Based on what? There's still not much at all on the Wii U, certainly not compared to the Wii. Any big name Nintendo franchise on the Wii U also had an an entry (if not two or three) on the Wii, and there are plenty of Nintendo IPs that haven't been on the Wii U yet. Third party games were much better on the Wii, too.
Arkham City, Bayonetta, Deus Ex, Ninja Gaiden 3, Wonderful 101, Zombi U, Mass Effect, Splinter Cell, Call of Duty Ghosts, AC: Black Flag, Darksider II, AC: III , WatchDogs

Better than Wario Ware, The Conduit, and Zack&Wiki in my book

*Sigh*

First of all, Wario Ware isn't a third party game. It's first party.

Secondly:

A Boy and His Blob, De Blob 1 & 2, Geometry Wars, The Guitar Hero series, The Rock Band series, Ivy the Kiwi?, Kororinpa, The Last Story ( I think this is 3rd party?), Let's Tap, Little King's Story, Metal Slug Anthology, Monster Hunter Tri, Muramasa, Mushroom Men, Okami, Opoona, Red Steel 2, Sakura Wars, The Sky Crawlers, Sonic Colors, Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Zack and Wiki are just a few of the actually pretty solid line up of 3rd party games on the Wii, just based on ones I've actually played.

I love the Wii U and it's library, but comparing a bunch of half hearted ports of several year old games to the wii's library of often original, quirky and unique 3rd party games is futile. The Wii's 3rd party library is quite clearly superior - particularly if you own other non-nintendo consoles, as almost all of the 3rd party content for the Wii U is available cheaper and often better elsewhere.

Played the new Smash with some friends all last night. Awesome confirmed.

I think Mac might be one of my new favorites, always liked the midweight types.

Shulk is pretty cool, but his B moves make him feel a bit more limited.

Megaman is as you guys said... plays like Megaman, it was awesome haha.

Hahaha!

I was going to write a response earlier, but decided against it because "better games" is so subjective. But if you prefer simple ports (that often aren't even the best version of the game) over a diverse selection of unique and exclusive games... well, that argument writes itself.

I would say that's a good choice when it comes to single player games, but with multiplayer titles I just can't stand the idea that there's a better game out with more characters/maps/items that we could be playing instead.

Easy to say the new Smash is better than Brawl. NO TRIPPING! And they really toned down the specials, they're not completely game breaking. On the other hand, the trophy/NPC pickups are a bit over the top though...

I'll echo the sentiment that the assist trophies can be a bit bonkers. Some just down work your opponents and guarantee a ko or two. That being said, I love playing as Pac-Man, villager, and jiggly puff.

This game is so good.
