John Oliver isn't "fake news". He isn't news at all. He's a comedian and he'll be the first to tell you. Just like Jon Stewart. His show is about entertainment first. That said, he did not utter a single misstatement in that segment. Everything he presented as fact was, in fact, factual. And everything that wasn't factual was opinion content. So, is John Oliver fake news? Nope. He's not news, and he's not fake, so not fake news. Unlike a lot of the sites CRT likes to share which pretend like they are legitimate news but really post un-sourced rumors and opinion pieces disguised as legit reporting.

The Cabinet picks are slowly being voted in due to delay in Congress. One surprise is the unanimous vote for Veterans Affairs Secretary Dr. David Shulkin. Quite amazing nobody in Congress had any dispute. When I see that, makes me wonder if he was already integrated into the political machine. Most sites I read give him high marks, though I think he should have served some active duty time in the military. Hope he does well for our veterans.

To spur on how bad mainstream news media in biased outright lie reporting, look at the immigration roundup. Most organizations twisted the story as rounding up working immigrants. Very few news made the important mention that the roundup was only on illegal immigrants that have a felon record. A dangerous intentional push by the news and Congress Rep Rueben Gallego (see video clip) to cause hysteria.

Thank you for at least a partial response to the questions asked. You are correct that there is editorial bias in almost everything no matter what. It is unavoidable. I think that you make the mistake in believing that having editorial bias in showing facts discredits them altogether. You say that all mainstream media is bias and you discredit only the ones with which you don't like on an emotional all level. Fox news is incredibly biased and yet you use that as your primary source of mainstream media.

His opinions are based firmly in factual data, and those are the opinions I value highest. Also, I am too standoffish. As I've said before, I don't want my mind to be so open my gray matter falls out. Almost every video you've shared that I've watched has been a factual train wreck. I've since learned that you have very poor judgment in information sources, and I have no interest in subjecting myself to them further.
