^Epic stick.

Alright, story time, I had an article in my local newspaper written about me and my game collection (since I'm pretty much the only serious collector in the area, and there's a section entitled "The True Collector" so I figured, what the hell, I'll apply. I got chosen, it's in the paper, anyway) and since then a friend of mine, Matt, offered me a boxed NES for $55, with a broken AC adapter, and in need of a new pin connector.

And also, I got an email today from the writer of the article, saying that some lady contacted her, wanting to get in contact with me regarding some systems her sons had. I'm assuming that the sons are off in the military or something, I didn't ask about that yet. But when she contacts me, I'm assuming I'll be winning some free systems, which is pretty sweet.

So uh, read your local newspapers and try to get into them, you might get some good attention, especially in a small town. :)

I knew I was forgetting something, sorry about that. It's not as illustrious as most peoples', but I'm still proud of it. :)

Very cool. At my current and previous jobs I've gotten some free stuff for being the 'guy who likes the old games'. If the lead does indeed turn out to be free stuff, you might ask if the mom has checked that the son no longer cares about it. Think about how much it would suck later if you were away from home for a while and your stuff was given away without asking you first. If it's free and clear and you get stuff, then awesome.
