Wow, never seen that book. Thanks for the heads up -- I could use something new to read. Never heard of the author, but "he has written for Spin, XXL, The New York Observer, Pitchfork, Village Voice, Creative Loafing, eMusic and others." <-- that's a pretty diverse resume, and I mean someone who's managed to write for such far reaches as XXL and Village Voice seems like an interesting bet. Have you started reading it yet?OldSchool_Boy wrote: Yeah I remember that series. It was pretty good and they need to reshow it as well show 'The Drug Years' documentary. Until that Southern rap documentry comes into play, This will have to hold me over.

I haven't picked it up yet but I just found out looking at some old editorials on Hiphopdx and found this. I've been meaning to get a copy but school has my funds at a low.noiseredux wrote:Wow, never seen that book. Thanks for the heads up -- I could use something new to read. Haha Steven Martin, hell yeah.
So ... any thoughts on Leviathan? I hear it's an Alien ripoff with an aquatic setting (same special effects crew as Alien too apparently), haha that gets me pretty curious. I mean I'm sure it doesn't measure up at all, but maybe it's worth checking out and not half bad on its own?

I'm shocked no one has replied about GOON.

That there was a chance it might not happen.Latino Review wrote:“as of now this film is still looking for funding.”
