Watched Con Air last night on VHS. My first time seeing it. Good times. Gotta love old-school Michael Bay.

I agree, The Fountain even with it's issues is still a great movie in my opinion and it's just beautiful, it haves an amazing soundtrack, it's gorgeously shot and the symbolism is really neat.
Indeed, Aronofsky makes awesome films and Mansell makes great scores for him too.

Due Date.

I snickered a few times, but i'm just baffled at what makes 100's of millions of dollars. Are we really this shallow / dense of a society? ( < rhetorical)

I wish there was a documentary on southern rap.

best I've come across was when MTV aired And You Don't Stop, an on-going docu-series on hip hop. There was an episode devoted to the South, and it was good. I think I have it on VHS somewhere actually. The South episode wasn't all-encompassing, but it had the expected Outkast stuff and No Limit... I remember it touched on David Banner, etc. It was alright. There definitely needs to be like a serious and thorough doc on the scene though.
Was it the 30 Years of Hip Hop series that was on VH1 or something different?

Yeah I remember that series. It was pretty good and they need to reshow it as well show 'The Drug Years' documentary. Until that Southern rap documentry comes into play, This will have to hold me over.

I wasn't that impressed either. It was kind of exhausting for me, like Meet the Parents was. It was just bad thing after bad thing after bad thing happening to the protagonist.

I like Galafanakis and I like Downey Jr, but it wasn't all that great.

If there is one movie this year that's worse than Green Lantern, it is the 2011 release of Filth to Ashes, Flesh to Dust, which I believe is a revamp of a film made just two years ago.

I take that back. Filth to Ashes is pretty hilarious.
