What was the last movie you've seen?

Pretty sure he didn't mean that literally :P
The Riddick films are meh. It is sad that they can pass for "great sci-fi" in this day and age. I couldn't get into the games (I tried), as I don't like stealth elements in my FPS.
No one's gonna take your opinions on sci-fi seiously now that you've admitted to liking Alien Resurrection.
Liking it more than Alien 3 doesn't mean I "like like" the film. I found parts enjoyable, and would watch it again, but overall it is a very sub-par sci-fi film (much like the Riddick films). Especially compared to Alien 1 and 2, 3 and 4 are both pretty bad.

Note my winking smiley.

Also it's been a long time since I've seen Chronicles of Riddick, and I don't think I've ever seen Pitch Black.

Pitch Black isn't amazing or anything, but it's certainly better than "sub-par." Besides, any movie that leads to the creation of a game like Chronicles of Riddick deserves credit. I don't know about the quality of the Chronicles of Riddick movie though, since I've never watched it. I've heard it isn't so great from other people.

Glad you liked you :D

Same here, it's mediocre but at least it's fun. Alien 3 is neither fun or good which is a big problem.

Don't know if this is exactly the right spot to post this, but it seemed to fit.

I bought X-Men: First Class the other night from Wal-Mart (excellent movie, I HIGHLY recommend it, great story, great special effects, great style to it (if that makes sense)) and while I was there something else caught my eye:

They were only $10 a piece. I snagged those suckers up. 8 Freddy Krueger films! And the awful remake is nowhere in sight! I wanted to share with others so if there's any other Nightmare fans they can take advantage of it at their local Wal-Mart, hopefully.

I agree with Dave that Alien 4 is more enjoyable than 3, but they're definitely nowhere as good as 1 and 2. The third just had too many problems with changing writers and directors too many times. Two placed that the effects fail horribly are when the alien comes up to Ripley in the med lab and the falling scene at the end. That being said 3 and 4 still kind of get carried by the greatness of the first 2 and are better than a lot of other terrible sci-fi horror stuff that's not good or bad enough to be worthwhile.

You guys should check out Chronicles of Riddick sometime. Go in knowing it's about Riddick kicking ass, and you'll have a good time.

I'll kill you with my teacup.

Apparently even William Gibson wrote one of the script pitches for Alien 3. It's up for download around the place, lol.

Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation

Interesting look into the East and West coast crack epidemics and the results that it had on hip hop. Interviews of Snoop Dogg, B-Real (Cypress Hill), Rza and Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan), Freeway Rick Ross, Azie Faison, and other people of interest that voice their point of view. Narration done by Ice-T.

I wish there was a documentary on southern rap.
