$3 Goodwill grab. First DC game I ever saw at my local store too, hidden amongst the music CDs.

Re: Games Acquired 2014
Wasn't planning on buying that much this month, but I had some time to kill before a party last night so I wandered over to a local record store + Goodwill.
I found some Atari games...

Holy crap there's an Ys VI strategy guide!

And this awesome television...

It works, but I haven't had time to hook it to a console yet. Not sure if it's color or b&w... Either way it has some ports for older systems in the back, so it'll be a great "testing" tv...

Great find on Frankenstein's Monster! That is a quite rare and valuable 2600 game.

Re: Games Acquired 2014
I figured it was something special, based solely on how strange the label is. I almost missed out on it too - when I was cashing out the clerk said "oh this one just came in too" and I told her to add it to the pile. It was 94 cents.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Great find on Frankenstein's Monster! That is a quite rare and valuable 2600 game.
I also picked up Pitfall! but when I got home I realized that I already owned it.... I have a habit of doing that with Atari games.

Re: Games Acquired 2014
You saved $19! It is by no means the most valuable 2600 game, but I would be delighted to find a copy at that price. Moreover, I have read that it is one of the best games on the system. You'll have to let me know how it is.BoneSnapDeez wrote:It was 94 cents.

That would be why there's the red/blue/green ovals above Trinitron.BoneSnapDeez wrote: Not sure if it's color or b&w...

With an inexpensive acquisition this afternoon, I finally completed one of the most beloved trilogies in gaming:

Re: Games Acquired 2014
Zoo has released some pretty good games (but not very many in comparison to the size of tis catalogue). City Interactive doesn't have much to recommend it, but it is the only one of the three companies that is still in business...So...It has that going for it. (Apparently it is developing Lords of the Fallen for the PS4 and Xbox One.) DSI...uh...ported some Atari games to the Gameboy Advance?
EDIT: Speaking of shovelware...I just discovered that this exists. An Amiga platformer that was released as PS4 launch title and received a physical release for the 3DS in 2014. It is going on the "want list" right away!
