Heh, yeah, sadly I didn't find it quite as fun-inducing as it needed to be to make up for the difficulty.

bitchin music though. More horiz should have a TATE controls option imo

Refresh me, when I sold it to you, did I tell you it was epic by chance? Sorry.

I'm playing Recca still, and just picked up Cloud Master, which is good fun.

Kinda on an 8-bit fix
I sent you this right?
I put annotations on it this time.

I recommend you make a save state at Jupiter so you can just practice the part over and over until you have it consistent. You can still score decently in if you skip it and just do the Stage 5 tricks.

Yep, but I accidently deleted it once i ran out of message space, so I am glad to have it back! :)

I actually haven't even looked up the stage 5 tricks yet. I have everything up to Jupiter down really well (which isn't much), but looking at the 12mil you can net at him, I always try until I'm dead.

I think a major flaw in my practicing is that I don't use savestates, only level select, when its available. Sadly, Batsugun on the Saturn doesn't have that.

I'm gonna give it a few more attempts with that video later though, as I really want to get that down. Then I'll start trying to learn DSIIx

Ha ha, don't worry, you didn't mislead me. I thought, since people always hate on Last Hope (which I actually liked quite a bit), that maybe I'd find something to like about Dux.

I do like that soundtrack. Oh, and its perdy.

It might be better not to kill yourself in order to give you resources for the later loops. I think its possible to hit the counterstop without dying, but I'm not sure how that would work at all. Nevertheless, it will always require perfect play.

I might make a Stage 5 video for you to show the various tricks. I kind of want to start making videos of just stages anyways. The hardest part in this game is getting to these parts with enough bombs to score.

Yeah, the tricks are what I have a hard time with. I have only played the game for survival twice, and I hit jupiter in the loop both times.

I have no idea what this is but the cover's cool. And a shmup published by Atlus?? I really don't know too much about the Saturn library.

It's Sengoku Blade also known as Sengoku Ace II. One of the better shmups for the Saturn. It's a horizontal shooter made by Psikyo set in feudal Japan where you shoot cards at things. From what I've heard anyway, haven't actually played it yet though
