LOVE VH1 Classic. Not only do they have a great listenable-to-total-crap ratio, but it's so much fun to play Beavis and Butthead with a friend and just make fun of videos.

Listening to a lot of Soundgarden lately. King Animal is fantastic, start to finish.

Watching these videos makes me understand why Blurred Lines was pretty much the song of the year for 2013.
Funny... cuz "Blurred Lines" had Pharrell on it.

He was also on Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," which I'd argue was an even better pop song of 2013.
That is what I meant.

I do not live under a rock. I know that Pharrell stole from Marvin Gaye and made Blurred Lines, and told Daft Punk "more guitar!".

My wife was also "How can you not love HAPPY? It's a great song!". Maybe I would like it if it wasn't accompanied by an awful video. Probably not though.

Had to turn off VH1 and cleanse my ears with a little Memphis Jackson. Have a listen:

I love big band music and when people visit my house for get togethers, this is the music they expect to hear.

And for those not familiar with Milt Jackson, familiarize yourself:

If your toes aren't a tappin while listening to this, you either don't have toes or rhythm.

I'm still confused as to why Pharrell is "the last talented half." Please elaborate as to how Chad Hugo is the more talented half?

I also agree w/ your wife. You were probably man made in a lab like the incredible hulk and don't even realize it. "Happy" is, well... happy.

A modern classic for sure. "Distress Signal" is my fave on there.
