My order for a 4G USB stick finally came in today. I shall not be tied down to a dial-up modem or war-roaming!

Image
However, all I could afford was Netzero's free plan, which limits my data to 200 MB/mo. (about an hour of YouTube clips) -- a reason why I've been on dial-up all these years. (Prodigy still exists! I am living proof!)

The 12-month "free" period begins this "month"... all 24 hours of it.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Pretty much everything ticked me off today.

Argued with the bank for about 3 hours both in person and on the phone about why the hell they froze my account. Ended up being a screw up because they blocked charges from foreign countries because I had a fraudulent charge from Japan a few months ago. Being that I regularly buy games from Japan, guess they figured all of those charges were fraudulent after I filed the report. The conversations I had with the bankers were ridiculous and like I said, took me about 2-3 hours to get everything sorted out and get back in control of my own money. Still not even sure if I am.

My puppy is suffering from parasitic infections and having worse and worse diarrhea every day, and my vet is so incompetent that it's just infuriating. I live in an extremely small town so I have very little options and am pretty much going to the best vet there is around here, but it still sucks. The poor dog has been sickly since I got her from a rescue as a pup ~3 months back, infested with worms and other parasites, but this vet just isn't curing the problem and she's getting worse and worse. It freaking kills me to see her suffering like this, watching her pass diarrhea 4-5 times a day. She's dropping weight and the stool now has blood in it. I'm doing all I can and she's just getting worse. I've invested over $1,000 into this and she's just not getting better. Fucking soul crushing.

Smile? I dunno, got some SMT reprints in the mail. Great.

:) : Yesterday, I ran into one of the best Gamestop clerks I've seen. Quiet, didn't pester me when I walked in the door, didn't ask me if I needed help finding something, didn't ask me to buy one of those power-up cards, didn't ask me if I wanted to pre-order anything.

:( : Not likely to run into him again. A guy like that won't get many hours.

Because the school wants to cut staff for next school year?

Yup.

But if it happens I can likely be a substitute teacher and attend college in the evenings which would be cool with me.
