Street Fighter II Turbo is the best SF there ever was, followed closely by Street Fighter Alpha 3. Street Fighter III is alright, but it does play different than SFII and SFA3, not in a way I prefer. Street Fighter IV is fun, but feels kinda dumbed down with gloss prioritized over floss. I haven't played Street Fighter V yet.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I like Street Fighter IV. Maybe I'm just not into Street Fighter enough to get what's wrong with it. I certainly don't play fighting games on any sort of competitive level. I also tend to prefer the SNK fighters usually. KoF XIII was my favorite fighter of last gen.
As for Street Fighter though, I did kind of dislike Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I didn't hate it but I found it really unremarkable.

In all seriousness, I think I'm too lazy to play fighting games. Any genre that requires me to "practice" and "memorize" "special" "moves" is a no-go. For the most part. I still whip out the ol' SNK, Sega, and Capcom classics from time to time. And Mortal Kombat.

That roughly describes how I play fighting games as well.BoneSnapDeez wrote:In all seriousness, I think I'm too lazy to play fighting games. I really like them, but I don't care for competitive gaming so I don't play them seriously enough to get "good."
The only exception was One Must Fall 2097 for DOS, that game was an obsession for me but mostly because of the tournament mode. I hadn't played the game in probably a decade and I booted it up a few months ago, put it on the hardest difficulty and with muscle memory completely rocked it.

Me 3. I love fighters, but I'm not much better than a button masher. But I still looooove playing them, especially my Neo Geo games and their ilk. Big pretty sprites. Guilty Gear is a favorite because of that, but yeah... I'm not good.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

Me 4 for fighting games. I mostly just love the pretty big sprites and the novelty of playing silly characters against friends who are as bad as I am at fighters XP
Like, it's reasons like that I wasn't afraid to throw down like 10 or so bucks for something like Street Fighter X Tekken on PS3 because playing as phat Mega Man and robo-Pac Man is just worth it X3

I think Perfect Dark is incredibly over rated, and I feel that Perfect Dark Zero is just as good, if not better. I never owned an N64 in the day, and played both games for the first time together.

Uh-oh...and not counting ports and different versions with the same name...Exhuminator wrote:Street Fighter II Turbo is the best SF there ever was, followed closely by Street Fighter Alpha 3. This first one, in light of some recent threads, may not be unpopular... but I'm aiming, from now on, to keep my collection more tight. If I don't think I'll replay a game, I'm selling it unless its rare (if I can manage to find a damned copy of Vanquish with the box...) I'm also aiming to keep light on certain genres- I'm a huge FPS fan, but I don't need as many of those as I buy.
Also, DMC: Devil May Cry looks more interesting to me than the originals. Fyteme
