What? Did you really have a reason to post or just wanted to interject with some non-point or issue?

Since when cartoon graphics meant it was for kids? I actually like the cartoonish look in many games. Crash Bandicoot, Conker, Viewtiful Joe, Monkey Island, Mario 64, Broken Sword, and Minecraft all look cartoonish but no one associates them with being childish.Jmustang1968 wrote: The game will also be too cartoony or kiddie for most.
I believe cartoons and cell-shading is just another form of art used in games like FMV,3D, or isometric art.

Ehhhhhhhh the association that 'cartoony' = 'kiddie/immature/childish' might not be as strong as strong as it used to be, (especially with our age demographic) but it's still there. Justified or not.RCBH928 wrote:Since when cartoon graphics meant it was for kids? I actually like the cartoonish look in many games. You can say the same about video games in general.AppleQueso wrote:Ehhhhhhhh the association that 'cartoony' = 'kiddie/immature/childish' might not be as strong as strong as it used to be, (especially with our age demographic) but it's still there. Wind Waker HD is great. Very nicely done IMO with the HD cel-shaded graphics.
Mario 3D World and New Super Mario Bros is a given purchase.
As for download titles: Pushmo World, and Trine 2 are great. I didn't get it yet but the newly released The Swapper was great on PC. I'd imagine it great on the Wii U as well. Also for the Metroidvania fans, Guacamelee is awesome!
If you haven't played some of the ported games from other older consoles then I recommend Deus Ex, as stated above. I will add Batman Arkham City and Mass Effect 3. Both were ported well and all three I purchased from Amazon directly for $45 total. Good deal.

Building on that, I'd add Need for Speed: Most Wanted U to the list. Criterion handled the port themselves and is easily the definitive console version of the game.casterofdreams wrote: If you haven't played some of the ported games from other older consoles then I recommend Deus Ex, as stated above. Rayman Legends is also another good one and was the lead platform before becoming a multiplatform title.
Edit: I just realized no one mentioned Lego City Undercover! That is a fantastic exclusive Wii U title.
