Both movies stunk. Heck, even Batman Returns sucked. The imagery was great in it, but the story was bad. The first one in that series was the only truly great Batman movie in that series. Thank goodness for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.Jrecee wrote:Batman Forever is the one where he does clothes karate. I honestly didn't think the introduction of Robin was too terrible in that movie. But the constant bickering between him and Batman got rediculous in the next one. Why even work together?
Joel schumacher is a great director. Falling Down? I totally think he could have done a good batman movie with the right script. But at the time the studio was pushing it towards being for kids, and I don't think he knew much about Batman. Plus Batman Forever did decent at the box office. So they just went in the direction that was natural. The movie still blew though.
I even think George Clooney could make a good Bruce Wayne. And maybe even a decent batman.

What do you think of Christopher Nolan's Batman movies compared to Tim Burton's, I believe he did the first two, well...

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
All this talk of bad Batman movies inspired me to pop in my Batman & Robin tape that I never bothered watching. I went into it expecting it to be laughably bad, and I was not disappointed. It was one of the cheesiest, fakest, most horribly written movies I've ever seen without Mike and the bots. Robin in particular was horribly acted. And why did they put nipples on Batman and Robin's suits? What made them think I wanted to see Robin nipples? And why was Batman's romance with that random woman he's supposed to be in love with left unresolved?
As a so-bad-it's-good movie, I give it an 8/10. As a regular Batman movie, it gets a 2/10.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
blade runner
this was on sci-fi last night. 3.5 stars out of 4, harrison ford staring, cool story, snatcher influenced: i was expecting to be very entertained. but, i was a little disappointed with it. i thought it was a little slow and a little boring. i don't think i quite understood the ending when the android saved deckard's life. and what about when deckard's partner tells him that rachael will eventually die and then deckard finds his calling card next to rachael?
i do think this would be a movie that gets better with subsequent watches, however.
also, i love how gillian from snatcher looks identical to deckard in blade runner. every time deckard was in his brown trench coat with the collar popped - which was basically throughout the whole movie - i couldn't stop thinking about gillian from snatcher.

It does, and reading the book it was based on, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, helps as well. Blade Runner isn't one of those movies that spends a lot of time explaining everything to the audience, it expects you to do some thinking and research of your own. Well, the Director's Cut does anyway (haven't watched the theatrical version).final fight cd wrote:blade runner
