The pattern so far has been a couple people say something they like about Wii U, and then there's four pages of people making disparaging remarks about Nintendo, Wii U, or something on or about the system.
Coming in to explicitly make negative comments for every positive comment you find because you don't like something isn't legitimate discussion, it's being a dick because someone doesn't agree with you.
To note, this isn't really something the community lets fly in the PS4 or XB1 threads. I do find it rather ridiculous that Wii U game's can't be discussed in the Wii U thread without condescension in tow.

I clearly haven't read all 500 odd pages of it no. Just as much as when I started posting here and a little before as I read before I registered. I don't post negative, I post what is reality really but if someone is so pro-WiiU then clearly it would appear as such as that's the turf with being a fan. I'm somewhere between being a fan and not of it at this rate, it's just the situation there is going on with it which is very unfortunate.
I just think it's ridiculous that the conversation continually gets restricted to the Wii U's market performance and specifications. It doesn't allow room for anything else to be discussed, like the library. And if people try, an onslaught of doom, gloom, and negativity are posted in response. It's absolutely hostile behavior.
My basic thoughts on the thread are that people act like this:
"I bought a Wii U, but hate Nintendo games; now that's everyone's problem"

See, things like that can be construed as being rather condescending.

It's for the entire subject of Wii U, but otherwise that's true. But, that isn't what happens.
Most threads made about specific games are just the really large releases. Not even specific to Nintendo, there.
People do seem to talk about stuff they've played casually that's not as big in the respective system threads, or in other catch all threads.
Well...ok this is off topic a bit but: I do feel this is making the forum worse. It's nice to have general threads for casual discussion, but interesting games deserve their own thread so not only can we focus on that, but years from now someone can search the forum and read through that thread (I know I do that sometimes when looking for opinions on a game I just played).
Bayonetta 2 was a big release and yet I don't see a thead for it :/

You do make a good point, I must admit.
I have made threads for games in the past. I should have done it for Bayonetta 2, as I absolutely love it. Probably my favourite game I've played this year so far.

The fact is that this is a thread that, even before the Wii U launched, was about the system's relative strengths and weaknesses, why or why not someone might be interested in purchasing it, etc. It hasn't ever been strictly about the games, strictly "pro-Wii U" (which is an absurd phrase), or anything of the sort. The catch-all threads for the PS4, Xbox One, Vita, etc. are all the same.
To the extent that there's a higher percentage of "negativity" here is mostly reflective of the honest discussion of the system's clear struggles in the market (there's also a fair amount of critique in the Vita and Xbox One threads, too from what I recall).
