Something about Tanooki's writing style hurts my brain. I've not yet read one full post he's made in this thread, and my impression from the rest of your comments is that I've probably made a wise choice.

The old downs syndrome kid image really says it best, arguing online is like competing in the special olympics, even if you win you're still retarded. Liking up lame fallacy videos and crying about straw, ad hominem and the rest is just a crappy way to dodge the issue and I've seen it burned out for years against many people on forums. It's just a convenient way to derail an issue. I see continuing this line of thought is pointless because if it falls on deaf ears that would rather belittle, derail and insult it's entirely a time waster.

Yes, this is kind of the problem I think. I don't know, Tanooki. Re-read some of your posts. I don't personally have a problem with you, although I don't really agree with much of what you have said over the last few pages, but the way you conduct yourself and construct your posts have a way of rubbing people up the wrong way. You almost seem to come across as quite confrontational.

I've seen plenty of healthy discussions and debates here on the forum and most people here seem friendly and willing to engage in discussion, whether people have different point of views or not. This is one of the most accessible and welcoming communities I've been a part of online and discussion is always diverse and rich with a variety of different gamers, all with different opinions.

Remember, this is just the internet. There's no need to get so worked up if people don't agree with you. People's tone might be turning a little negative, but I think their tone is only a reflection and in response to the tone you present yourself.

Zero: The issue here is I'm sharing facts I know from my past and being called a liar about that because I don't have hard evidence about old conversations and being told I'm playing some bullshit fallacy game. That's the problem here and that's why I'm getting mad about it. If I were playing some stupid game I'd have let it go once I got caught pulling fantasy out of nowhere but I haven't. I'm only dropping any insults after being insulted. Discussion was fine up until this line of garbage that started yesterday as the older posts I did in response to peoples comments would show. I'm not just going to give respect when I'm being disrespected and called a liar about stuff I know is to be true.

I wish I could back up what I got more, but Midway went under, Advanced Media Network was rebranded Kombo and bought out so that's gone, and I can't give out my brothers name as I'd rather him not get a loss of trust or likely fired from his job as a producer so I'm at a loss where to go from here.

Tanooki, I don't think you've been paying close enough attention to this thread.

The pattern so far has been a couple people say something they like about Wii U, and then there's four pages of people making disparaging remarks about Nintendo, Wii U, or something on or about the system.

Coming in to explicitly make negative comments for every positive comment you find because you don't like something isn't legitimate discussion, it's being a dick because someone doesn't agree with you.

To note, this isn't really something the community lets fly in the PS4 or XB1 threads. I do find it rather ridiculous that Wii U game's can't be discussed in the Wii U thread without condescension in tow.
