Reminds me of a funny story, too. I was 8-years-old, I think, when DKC2 came out. At that time, two controllers were always plugged into the SNES at all times, and the wires were always a tangled mess. My brother and I were so anxious to play DKC2 for the first time, but for some reason we couldn't get the game to work! We couldn't get past the title screen!
My brother got so angry, and he said, "What do you have to put in a code to get the game to work!" He got so mad he stormed off, I think he went into a shower. So then it clicked for me, we were using controller 2! So I switched controllers and started playing! Shit like that, you'll never forget.
