Thanks man!noiseredux wrote:Happy bday dude.
I had never played Robotron 2084 before but it just became a new favorite. I was playing it with two 2600 sticks but found it to be more comfortable with two Genesis pads with a d-pad under each thumb.
I also immediately downloaded the MAME version. It plays great with the Xbox One PC controller after a little configuring.
Great game!

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Got my copy of Seiken Densetsu 3 in. Working great. Didn't agree with the Nakitek Game Saver I sometimes use as a passthrough, so a disassembled Game Genie worked instead. I really need to do a more permanent solution, but it's fine for now.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
That game saver is terrible! Remove yo' tabs. Better yet: Retron 5.
Re: Games Acquired 2016
Well, I don't want to modify this particular SNES. I might save it for my spare, which I've already added a lockout chip disabler and a 50/60 Hz switch. Only problem is the diagonal lines on S-Video... which I need to investigate fixing eventually.
No joke that Game Saver is terrible. Of course, back in the day it was a great idea. It was the closest thing to save states you could get. The implementation is just iffy at best.
Really, though, it just hasn't been a high priority. This has just more been to have a legit copy more than actually play on the cart, because I've already got a SD2SNES. And I still haven't bit on the Retron 5 because there's apparently some issues with Genesis emulation now that they've had to change the core from all the code-stealing brouhaha.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Not to much happened while the site was down. Did manage to get a $5 PS4 at a local Habitat for Humanity Restore shop. Top was completely busted and it's none functional at them moment but the 500gb harddrive was good and when I broke it down I found Mortal Kombat X in the bluray drive. The MKX disc has two really deep scratches i'm guessing from where they attempted to fish it out but so far seems to be playing okay which is surprising. I'm guessing the power supply is shot but I'm not going to bother with it I will just keep the system for parts. Also picked up a few deals on amazon to flip for a minor profit to offset my regular spending
.
Almost forgot I got Summon Night 5 (PSP) in the mail. Been so long since I preordered it that I completely forgot about it until I found the box in the mail.
