Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?

I went from SNES to Wii without any consoles in between (wtf is wrong with me?). If I had owned one I'm sure I would have gone with GameCube. I've been somewhat loyal to Nintendo for some time.

here's an unpopular opinion, maybe:

i think nintendo's best console was the Gamecube.

To be fair, I just found out that noiseredux and ryantheslaya both rank the GameCube as the number one console for 6th gen stuff.

You weren't around when he was the "Game Boy guy"? His blog was called Game Boy Player Land for a long time and focused almost entirely on Nintendo handhelds.

Objectively I'd say the PS2 is better, but, I still have a soft spot for the GameCube and at this point I think I'd consider many of it's exclusives much more valuable than PS2 ones from gameplay and historical perspectives.

Also, I really fucking love Super Mario Sunshine. In fact. I think it's better than Mario 64. (How's that for an unpopular opinion?)

it is controversial, but i totally get it. sunshine is an excellent game with a slightly flawed mechanic. once you get around the mechanics of F.L.U.U.D. then it's really, really enjoyable, tbh.

random tidbit: Gill Grunt from skylanders controls almost exactly like Mario in Sunshine except he also shoots harpoons
