Not really surprised, but I REALLY want to be able to use it because of the blu tooth wireless. I've got some of my old Genesis controllers and a knock off SNES one, but the wires just don't make it optimal for me.

A blu tooth wireless SNES controller would be heaven.

Well, with any luck, the controller that comes with it can be modded into an arcade stick. Wireless arcade sticks for all supported consoles would be pretty awesome.

Mine is through Amazon, so hopefully I'll get mine around the same time as VGMX.com ships theirs out.

Errr... I think this is the one?

Epic!

This means I'll simply use a SNES controller for mostly everything.

...and I can use the 6-button Genesis controller for mostly everything. :P

I can't imagine playing something like Super Mario World with a Genesis controller. The whole run/jump control scheme would feel awkward.

Then again, mapping a 6-button Genesis game to a SNES controller would be tough. I suppose you could use the shoulder buttons, as seen on the PS3/Xbox 360 ports of games like Streets of Rage 3.

I can imagine playing Street Fighter Turbo (SNES) on a 6 button Genesis controller however. Best port of the game and the best controller to play it on, that's a great combo. :)

man i sorta want one of these. i wonder if the third-party SMS converters will work, i hate the bulkiness of the Power Base converter.

also i wish the controller wasn't so boxy and shitty. it looks like the duo gamer controller, but worse.

I actually really enjoy the duo gamer controller. I just wish Gameloft spported their own device!
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

It reminds me more of the PC Engine 6 button controller.

The Retron 5 controller looks like an attempt to combine the SNES and Genesis 6-button controller. It is a little boxy, though I'm sure it'll be fine for RPGs and whatnot. For anything with more precise controls I think I'd prefer the real deal.
