It was pretty bad. The game freezes trying to load the last section of the game. There are some work-arounds, but none of them worked everytime. That said, some people do not encounter it at all, and I was able to complete the game. It was very annoying, however, and it marred an otherwise excellent experience.

that's pretty shitty, i mean at least it's not save-deleting i guess? sounds like it's a random thing based on print run, maybe? damn.

No one has really figured it out AFAIK, but I think you are less likely to encounter it if you have a later model Wii. (I have a launch model.) That said - and while the bug did mare the experience - it was not game-breaking. It did not corrupt my save, and since it was a loading error, I encountered it shortly after starting my game (i.e., I didn't lose a lot of play time to it). I was always able to work around it, and it should not prevent you from experiencing what is, IMO, one of the best ARPGs on any system.

Re: Too early to start talking about rare/valuable Wii games
Argos, a retailer here in Ireland and UK, found some Xenoblade LEs in stock and released one/two each to store around both countries, initially for 15e, I believe, then someone in MR copped the buzz online and the price went up to 30e; this is not too bad, considering they'd be inflating to near 100e the last year or so. Anyways, Argos now seems out of stock. The eBay prices haven't dented, if anything there's more just now getting a piece of the trade.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom's price hasn't ballooned, seemingly, holding at 20e generally, which is contrary to a lot of spec I recall around the time it went out of print after the license expiry. The stick, however, seems to have a bit of weight in pricing, given its minimum seems to have it 50e and a lot the 'Bay listing have it going upward. This is a hell of a leap, considering Gamestop, Zavvi et al had been letting them go for pig-cents not too long ago. I picked up mine for £13 with free delivery.
The PAL version of KoF: Orochi Saga seems to dropped straight into rarity-ville. I've been scoping it for a while and, across various platforms, its steady at, minimum, 40e-ish used.

The way I see it just about any RPG is most likely going to go up in value once they are no longer in production or available digitally. That being said I am glad to see a lot of companies re-releasing their older games both digitally and in compilation packs wish we would see more of this.
One game I was surprised to see rise in value was Big Buck Hunter Pro. Picked up my copy with the gun at a thrift store about a year ago for $10 and they are going around $90+ now. The game by itself is around $30.

It's obvious that GameStop's are giving Wii less shelf space now that X1, PS4 and Wii U are out. But they're still excepting Wii trade-ins, right? I just ask because I'm wondering if hitting up the same locations again are worth it or not.

Like this one that I've already mentioned. $4.99 used at GameStop right now. The only place for the price to go is up, and I know it will over time. Seems like a lesser known game right now, but every one has great things to say about it. It's the kinda game that I can see being more popular down the road when the all the dust settles. After every one has played all the well-known games, and are looking for something more or something different, this game will go up in price.

What I would recommend doing is going through the wii games online at the gamestop site and making a bookmark folder full of the ones you want. Then using the pick up at store to watch for them to pop up in stores nearby. I've also been able to reserve up to 3 games at a time using pickup@store which is very useful if you find something really rare for cheap and don't want to miss it.

Oh, I don't even mean for games that are already on my "to get" list. I just mean to browse randomly for games.

Yeah they are worth hitting up if you happen to go by them. Hell some of the PSP stuff I bought the other day was fresh from trade ins. Clerk told me the complete copy of Power Stone Collection(PSP) I picked up had been traded in the day before for $0.05

PS: Now is a good time to look for DS games as well although I recommend doing it online. Alot of the stores still have them but only display whatever they can put in those lockable glass shelfs. Thefts got so bad that almost all of them have returned to putting the clearance games behind the counter and since nobody can really go through them there are some awesome games buried in alot of these stores.
