Re: favorite fast food
Long John Silvers and Taco Bell are my favorites. Out of the burger joints there isn't one in particular and I'd rather eat at a good diner or something for a burger. I ate at a Whataburger once when I was in Texas and that was pretty good though.
I like Chik-fil-a's food but I don't want to support them with my patronage anymore.

Re: favorite fast food
Top 5, not in any order:
Arby's: I love roast beef sandwiches and curly fries, so this is a perfect fit for me. Plus, a roast beef sandwich is lower calorie and way less greasy than a big burger.
McDonald's: I don't like their burgers, but they have the best chicken sandwiches I've ever tasted. To top it off, the McChicken is only $1. And who doesn't like their fries?
KFC: My favorite fried chicken, ever since I can remember. Love the mashed potatoes and potato wedges too.
Little Caesar's: The place to go for cheap quick pizza. $5.55 for a large pepperoni or cheese, takes about one minute before you're out the door. Crazy Bread has got to be the best breadsticks around.
Captain D's: It's like Long John Silver's, except it costs a bit more and tastes way better. The only place I ever go when I want to eat seafood out, besides Red Lobster.
Bottom 5:
Wendy's: I actually like the taste of their food. It's like a higher-quality version of McDonald's. The problem is that I start feeling nauseous about 2 hours after eating there, I have no idea why. I must be allergic to something they cook with.
Taco Bell: They always get my order wrong. They don't know the meaning of the word plain. I have seriously gone there, ordered a plain buritto, and ended up returing it twice before they made it right. All I wanted was a tortilla with beans, but they couldn't figure it out. Also they seem to have difficulty keeping all the toppings out of each other; there's usually an accidental flake of onion in the beans. And I can't say I've ever gotten a hot taco from them, just warm ones.
Subway: The only item on the menu I like is the pizza. I just don't like sub sandwiches.
Hardee's (Carl's Jr.): Once again, they always get my order wrong. And I don't like their advertizements, they're too edgy.
Panda Express: The only Chinese food worth eating is from individual restaurants run by actual Chinese immigrants.

Re: favorite fast food
Even places that have immigrants working there still likely have some Mexican dudes working in the kitchen (at least on the west coast). They can sure make some good kung pao.BoringSupreez wrote:Panda Express: The only Chinese food worth eating is from individual restaurants run by actual Chinese immigrants.

Re: favorite fast food
Here in MO we have a lower-than-average rate of Hispanic immigrants, so the kitchen workers are almost always Chinese. In fact, both places I eat the person running the register is also the cook.D.D.D. wrote:Even places that have immigrants working there still likely have some Mexican dudes working in the kitchen (at least on the west coast). Re: favorite fast food
Missouri huh? I guess because the west coast is closer to China than MO is, less immigration. Anyhoo~
I used to have a favorite Chinese place just like you described but I think the dude was also running a gambling set-up as well on the side (always on the phone, at least 6 different cells and newspapers). He was out of there in about 8~9 months. He really did make some killer kung pao.
Anyone eat curry?

It's a thread about fast food. What did you expect to see listed?Luke wrote: You guys sure do eat a lot of crap.
Re: favorite fast food
Decent fast food does exist.AppleQueso wrote: It's a thread about fast food. What did you expect to see listed?
Backyard Burgers
Jersey Mike's
Chick-Fil-A
In-n-Out
Chipotle
Buffalo Wild Wings
Jason's Deli
Panera Bread
Bear Rock cafe
Schlotzsky's deli
Five Guys
...
The comment about McDonald's having the best chicken sandwich just blew my mind. How any one over the age of five could enjoy a Little Caesar's pizza also gets the gerbil on the wheel. There's plenty of decent fast food restaurants, but mostly what I've seen listed is nothing but a bunch of grease joints, and that's fine if that is what you like (I get the occasional Big Mac attack)...But for me, ew.

Except for Buffallo Wild Wings, Panera, and Chipotle, I don't have any of the places you mentioned in my area. I've gotta eat what I've got.Luke wrote:Decent fast food does exist.AppleQueso wrote: It's a thread about fast food. What did you expect to see listed?
