Quite interesting that people are paying $50-$100 for an old game that has close to 10 million copies out there.

Blame it on the increase interest in gaming in general, as seen with sales almost reaching 10 billions last year. Maybe Racketboy has something to do with this as well, promoting RETROGAMING. Thanx a lot for making me rich man. HA HA HA.

Fatal Frame 2
Yes it seems silly some are buying some game cheaper they know are worth more just to get a profit later on. What I buy and find it is valuable I will probably keep forever and treasure it.
Last month for the first time bought 2 megami tensei games just because I knew they were worth more than the price they were selling them but glad I did because the games are great.
And thanks to this topic now I'm planning to buy fatal frame 2 from someone for $20 because saw that it is worth more and probably won't get my hands on one cause I don't like to buy expensive games. Either way I have a burned copy already but that is another thing.

What do you guys think about the MGS: Essential Collection being worth something? Spryo the Dragon: Collector's Edition (compilation of the first 3 games) was going for 90 a month or two ago, and GTA Trilogy on Xbox also sells for more than it retailed for. The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (has 4 older Zelda games) is one of the more expensive zelda games, I wonder if this would go the same for MGS since it was released late, and may not sell too many copies.

I got Star Ocean Till the End of Time and Arc Lad Twlight of the Spirits for only $12! I had a coupon for 25% then 10% for my edge card. They were complete copies too! I noticed that many of the used ps2 titles have gotten cheaper. Yay!

Mainly RPG's since they are niche titles to begin with. And being an RPG fan myself i have bought quite a few for the PS2 when releases, many are still sealed because i don't open them until i am ready to play that way if i do need to sell them they can command more money, but i always buy them initially to play i have such a ridiculous backlog some games ill just never get too. Below is a few i think will be rare some are new or not even out yet.
Arcana Heart, Heavenly Gaurdian, SMT: Digital Devil Saga I & II, SMT: Devil Summoner, SMT: Nocturne, SMT: Persona 3 (Deluxe Box), SMT: Persona 3 FES, Ar Tonelico, Culdcept, Atelier Iris 1, 2 & 3, Mana Khemia (Limited Edition), XenoSaga Series (Black Label), Devil May Cry (5th Anniversary Set), Suikoden III, V (possibly 4 for a set), Dual Hearts, GrimGrimoire, Soul Nomad, LaPucelle Tactics, Phantom Brave, Grandia II & 3, , Disgaea 1 & 2, Tales of Legendia, Tales of the Abyss
Possibly Rare
Fire Pro Wrestling Returns, Victorious Boxers 1 & 2, Wild Arms Alter Code F (For Fans of Wild Arms)

I've been on the fence with selling Odin Sphere for a while now. The game is gorgeous, but I just can't get into it for some reason. I could probably get a solid $40 for it now, but I wonder if it'd be worth waiting. On the other hand, it would be a nice thing to do to let someone else play it now before it gets harder to find. Decisions, I hate 'em.

I think now is the time to get hard to find ps2 games. The prices are getting cheaper overall. Better get them now before they go way up like a lot of good ps1 games did.
