The irony is that I posted a screen shot of the NPC that I had to go to, but I completely forget he existed!

noiseredux wrote:Now as for ROTN... about an hour and a half total playtime so far, so this is still early impressions. But dammit, great game. I worried that I wouldn't be into it as much as Curse Of The Moon, but ROTN is awesome. I'm really taking my time with it too. I just got into the castle not long ago, and am lvl 10 and found an awesome pink sword. Between this and COTM, I really hope this series continues on.
Yeah. Both leave off with lots of potential for more. What I would love to see is Ritual get a similar big sequel, but in between we get another COTM styled prequel that's 16bit this time and maybe pulls from Super CV4, Bloodlines, and Rondo. That would be so cool to me.

Finally got to play more tonight myself, mainly just finishing up more side quests, enemy archives/drops/shards, and recipes. I'm still getting completely destroyed by one of the post end game secret bosses haha. So... definitely have to prep for this one.

I got the bad ending, now I'm doing the exploration to try and find whatever it is I need to find to get the good ending. I think I've figured out where I need to go, but it is definitely a bit more obtuse than I was expecting. It's at the very south of the map, and I was not expecting to be able to do what I think I need to do to traverse this.

I'd be all over that!

Same here! And yeah, that's sort of what I'm thinking in my head. Like, I hope that Bloodstained continues on as a series, but also continues it by jumping around and sort of homaging various eras of CV history.

Not sure when I'll actually have time to play again soon. Maybe over the weekend a bit. I've been a dad for a few weeks now, which you might imagine has kept me a bit busy haha.

Yeah... good luck if you think you've got it figured out. For me, despite having a certain portion on the map explored/covered, I still missed a key item that was in some bizarre spot. One of the things I had to look up.

Where I needed to go was where I thought I needed to go. Then I got stuck for a while after exploring all that and getting those key abilities until I realized I can move the iron maidens using the super hand. So now I think I'm ready to trigger the end game (I've done a final key boss fight) but I can't figure out how to do so. At this point it has to be revisiting somewhere, but given how late it got I'll have to save that for tomorrow.

I just got what I assume is the worst ending. In fact, it wasn't even an ending, it was a straight up game over lol.

Yup, that's the bad ending. You gotta do more exploration. I right at the actual final boss and am finding myself with not enough consumables (I spend all my money crafting food for the stat ups). So I'm taking the time to 100% the shards and item lists and craft all the food and do all the sidequests first; that should give me enough gold and a few more levels and then I should be good. I had one run that felt like I almost had the final boss, so I figure this should put me over the top easily.

I'm at a point right now that I'm really not sure where to go or what to do. I have a bunch of areas that I can't access because I either need a key or an ability that I don't yet possess. So I think I'm just gonna wander somewhat aimlessly, maybe do some side quests and whatnot, then see if I stumble on something along the way.
