Right, but one is a remake of the other. Do we need two variations of the first Mana game on two different lists? I dunno.
Also, if FFVI ends up on this list and Chrono Trigger ends up on the DS list does that mean neither game will show up on the inevitable SNES list? Because that sounds downright criminal.

Some of my favorites in no particular order:
Drill Dozer (best platformer on GBA)
Metroid Zero Mission (better than Fusion)
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (the greatest one on GBA)
Astro Boy: Omega Factor
Ninja Five-O
Gunstar Super Heroes (better than the Genesis original)
Mega Man Zero (the whole series is great)
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
F-Zero: GP Legend
F-Zero: Climax

True, that was a debate we had about Resident Evil 4 for the Gamecube. Mjmjr wanted us not to include games that had superior renditions on other consoles. So if we labeled FF6 Advance best on the GBA, then it would not be included for the SNES.

Thats what I'm wondering about the Pokemon games, which one will show up on the GB and GBA list? Ruby and Sapphire had remakes on the 3DS, but are they truly better. If we choose Fire Red and Leaf green then does it not get chosen for the GB list? It was one of the best selling games on the system, maybe we could chose Gold and Silver but those had remakes for the DS. a Gameboy list without Pokemon on it is no list at all.

I'd throw Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green along with the Gen 3 Pokemon games. All are connected.
Secondly I want to thank you for grouping series together rather than individual games. It captures a hell of a lot more games for people to hunt.
And lastly I'd throw the whole Mega Man Battle Network series of games on the list. Somewhere lower on the list. The series was solid overall IMO and have enjoyed it throughout the years.
Even if games are remade on a newer system I'd seperate the systems entirely. Take each system and game on the list as seperate items. It would be up to the game seeker to determine which rendition is better to experience.

we would be arguing all day over which GBA Castlevania is the best, they are all phenomenal and deserve a spot on the list, but I'd rather not having them take up separate spots.

then you need to decide which of them fall inside/outside the top 30 games for the GBA

that's like deciding which of your children you like best.

Re: List: Best 30 GBA games (whats in your pocket?)
then just group all mario games together, all mega man games, all wario games, all metroid games, etc. Either have a list of 30 that's actually useful amd formed from debate approaching consensus or don't.
