@Jmustang1968

It's all good. Jp1 is someone with whom I've only ever had polite and cordial conversation with. If he says that he is disappointed that our impressions don't match, I take it to literally be that: We usually agree - and this time we don't.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

No, really. There are people on this site that I have come to expect logical, reasoned, and respectful conversation from, even when they disagree. Jp1's on that list.

If the guy wanted to shame me, he would have been much more direct. It is possible to respect someone's opinion enough to be disappointed when their conclusion and yours don't meet. That's not a bash on that person though.

Thanks Flake, that is quite literally what I meant. I'm glad you feel that way.

That was at jp.

My first post was more in general not just at jp. As in several people kept saying you cant say he is guilty from accusations or just what others say. My point was that sure we can, we make those types of decisions and inferences all the time. Jp1 just happened to be the one to engage my first post.

Yes I did misread the quote. This is what happens on Friday after a week of sleep deprivation builds up.
I certainly understand that feeling.

Even if such things are allowed in courts based on circumstantial instances, I do not agree with it personally. I find it incredibly hard to believe that with this many women claiming Mr. Cosby raped them via intoxication, that there isn't one shred of hard evidence to be found. If there is such a thing, I have not heard of it yet. Rather this situation comes across as a burn the witch character assassination media blitz, with a potential jack pot class act for plaintiffs.
They certainly are not equivalent. Your concerns go the weight that should be afforded to certain types of evidence. Certainly, physical evidence is drastically more peruasive than bald accusations and circumstantial evidence, but the latter two categories are, nonetheless, "evidence" capable of proving a person committed a crime.

PM'd you on this, but in short, please don't ever assume that I mean to say "You can't say this." I don't presume to be superior to anyone here or feel entitled to chastise them. I was just having a discussion (not an argument) with peers. Peers whom I respect regardless of our difference in opinion. Honestly, however it came across...that was all it was.

Agreed. Back to the topic at hand...

I need to read up a bit before I can comment further though. Prfsnl_gmr is always coming with that lengthy knowledge drop. :lol:
