The skulls is the issue.ninjainspandex wrote:I'm playing as Wilhielm specced into lasers and there is a main story mission where Moxxi gives you a blue laser weapon and for some reason it was completely OP, could nearly instantly kill any enemy 4 levels higher than me in a matter of seconds and it would chain between enemies. I was completely unstoppable. But now I'm fighting enemies who are skulls and resistant to electricity.

beat it!
Took about 22 hours to finish the campaign while doing maybe half (?) of the side quests along the way. I leveled to 26 when the final boss went down.
Awesome game, and I am looking forward to playing more of it and grabbing the rest of the sidequests

That's awesome. Heard it was a little on the short side. Did you noticed that or was it less filler and more actual doing stuff?dsheinem wrote:beat it!

I wonder if the DLC will be nearly as good as BL2 DLC. Waiting to hear some details on that.
I should be picking it up within the next few weeks.

Re: Borderlands: The Pre-sequel Thread
got 2 hrs into this so far. I like it a lot. Nisha is a perfect character for me. Hell, she starts out w/ a sniper rifle. I really like the gravity mechanic. Not loving the oxygen mechanic, though. Makes me feel like I have to remain on a time limit or be tied to small area when I want to go off and explore more freely. But still, super fun.
Re: Borderlands: The Pre-sequel Thread
In all honesty I stopped noticing the oxygen mechanic after about 10 minutes. Enemies drop air supplies like candy.

yeah, dude. O2 ain't no thing in the Pre-Sequel. You should try Metro 2033...noiseredux wrote:got 2 hrs into this so far. I like it a lot. Nisha is a perfect character for me. It's definitely borderland-sy. You have an objective to reach, and it's at the very last end-point of the map...which may lead to another map which the objective is still at the very end of. It's not always clear to go on the maps due to the low gravity changing up how you transport yourself. Sometimes there are just gigantic chasms and your objective is just on the other side...which you have to traverse halfway around the map to find the one point at which it can be crossed...it can be maddening.casterofdreams wrote:That's awesome. If you've played Borderlands 2, everything feels exactly the same, you'll slide right in. Seems to be about the same ratio of filler mission to story mission, although a lot of the story missions are about as challenging and entertaining as spreading mayo on bread. So far I haven't encountered one of those find-the-five-pieces-of-this-shitty-gun side mission that was so prevalent in Borderlands 1, or anything of annoyance equivalence.
It's Borderlands in space, no more, no less. If you enjoyed the past two games and just don't want to slog through either one again, it's a welcome change of pace.

Re: Borderlands: The Pre-sequel Thread
well, I had a lot of nothing to do and managed to spend 7 hours on Pre-Sequel today. I'm both embarrassed and pleased that I did that. At any rate, 9 hours in and loving it. It's the first BL game I've really invested time into solo. Having a blast. Not sure if it's easier than the first two games or if I'm just better. Like to think the latter, but probably a combo. I will say I'm so much better if I can hang back and snipe instead of being up close and personal. I love preserving bullets and just one-shotting dudes in the face. Though some bosses require a lot more strategy.

I hit about 18 hours doing everything on playthrough 1 with Nisha, and a buddy playing Athena. Now I am halfway through playthrough 2 with Nisha, and halfway through playthrough 1 with Clappy. Nisha, with a Maggie with the negate shield luneshine, is just wrong. Though the Maliwan Lasers are fast becoming my favorite new weapons.
