Silent Hill 3 isnt a classic?! You're losing me, man. The general consensus I've always seen is that any SH game past 3 isn't held in high regard. 3 is most definitely a classic.

I can't help it if I don't have that many games to pick and choose from...
You don't have to have ten games. Also, there's tons of games that you could certainly emulate, download legally for free, etc. Hell, pick up a $10 compilation somewhere with 20-30+ games on it and you'd be set. You get a few undisputed classics for free when you join Good Old Games (GOG.com) for example.

I debated this one and would be sympathetic to a good counter argument. I think it is probably a good example of "good doesn't equal classic" though.

I'm only doing this because AJ asked me too. I am not sure I am even going to do a challenge this year - nor are a few other past participants, I believe.

Only problem with emulation and gog is that I don't like playing many video games on my computer....I'd rather play them on a console and a thing like everdrive is not the route I'd take...
My gameroom

I like to imagine the range of responses people have to seeing me post that word

Whatever, d00d. Download one of the Capcom Classics on your Vita or something. Not my job to find you games, just to tell you which ones you picked wrong.

Are there reasons that you don't like playing games on your computer that could be addressed?

Beyond that, there are official collections to grab, emulators for modded consoles, and so on.

If you really want to tackle your list of games though, just have fun doing that. If only half of them "count" for this, then so what? It's just fodder for discussion.

Considering sh3 finishes up the main plot line of the series it would carry enough significance to be considered a classic. Not just "it's good so it counts".

That YuGiOh GBA game is actually very good, and was so popular it was sold in my local card shop. It was the only video game they carried.

Its not buggy, and it is a strong show for its "genre", and was a fairly poplar game... amongst TCG YuGiOh fans.

Why is it not a classic? Because we at racketboy say so? Do YuGiOh fans not count as video game fans? I personally know more people that have played that game than something like MULE.

It's not really a genre classic though is it? It's popular because YuGiOh is popular. I haven't played Spacewar! but I know its influence on gaming.

In the genre of "TCG games converted into video games", it is probably the best one I have played.

So, I would say it is at least debatable.
