Honestly it seems this game has gotten so much hate simply for that reason and the fact that it was handled by another "non-Japanese" team.

Again I don't get the hate for this, other than the fact that they are full priced games when they come out, and people expect you can do these updates with payed DLC these days.
But personally I just wait for them to fall in price and I don't mind either way. Heck I prefer it, cause I own physical copies of the games now
They're not full priced games, at least not the Street Fighter expansions. They're even cheaper if you had already bought the prior ones (like SSF4 Ultra is only 15 USD if you have SSF4 or SSF4 Arcade edition).
