Re: Batman: Arkham Knight from Rocksteady (XB1, PS4, "PC")
Ok so I have a GeForce 560 2gb ram and my processor didn't meet requirement, but I installed the game and with everything low it benchmarks at 25fps which is playable. II am also hating the driving part, not a fan of driving games in general, maybe the 25fps is to blame...
I hope when they fix it lower spec pc's like mine can get up to 30fps... if they improve the game it should help all.

Your vidcard should be able to handle the game @1080p with ~30 fps on medium detail, but they botched it up.

I don't get the changes they've done. They've sort of removed "takedown" moves, which makes certain enemies more annoying to deal with as you have no way to quickly take them out.
Stealth sections are irritating now, with medics healing people you've knocked out, annoying sentry guns, enemies who can detect you when you use detective vision, and guys randomly putting mines on your perch spots. It's all such a hassle now
The simplicity of this series they've chipped away at in this game. Everything's more complicated now.

I check back every day to see if anyone noticed how I edited the title of this thread. If anyone saw it, no one cared enough to say anything.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Sterling us of quotation marks, Mr Flake.
I have now beat the game and all the side missions bar the inevitable Riddler trophy clean up job. And I very much enjoyed it. I kept using the word seamless to describe the whole thing. I can see why some people dislike the Batmobile but I think if it was just a shinier Arkham City with nothing new added, people would be moaning even more.
Stuff I didn't like: side missions aren't as interesting as City's. The story goes to some very silly places. I was hoping for a better main villain (I was also hoping for a narrative bridge into a wider DC universe) and the Arkham Knight's identity will be no surprise to any mildly seasoned Bat-fan. Minor stuff and more to do with my expectations than anything else. It's not as good as City, it's better than Origins and that still makes it better than 90% of stuff being released currently.

I finished it.
It's the worst game in the series, and that includes Origins
Severely disappointed
I never thought Rocksteady would be the ones to ruin this series, figured whatever other developer they got on board after this would.
My new ranking
1. Arkham City
2. Arkham Asylum (You could swap 1 and 2, as there are good arguments for Asylum being the best one)
3. Arkham Origins
4. Arkham Knight
5. Blackgate (if you even count that game)

I think Origins could have been the best game in the series if they hadn't tweaked the combat in a way I found unappealing. I definitely preferred the art design and the story and boss fights were top notch too.
It's a shame to hear so many people talking about Knight the way they are. Some people seem to dearly love it, easily as much as City, but even those people admit that it's 5 hours of TankTankTank and then 5 hours of an Arkham game, once again, with tweaked combat mechanics that aren't necessarily favorable over the original formula for everybody.

Older. Not wiser.

So I was wrong about them removing take down moves. Apparently, the game just never tells you that you can do them throughout its myriad tutorials. And I didn't see it in the upgrade menu so I assumed they removed them, but as it turns out circle + square does indeed instantly take down an enemy and the move is available right from the start of the game
I feel better about combat now, and the stealth is better in new game plus when you have more stealth upgrades to help out, but that still leaves the Batmobile
There are two Batmobile boss battles, that are so abhorrent it seems like some C level developer designed them.

Batmobile ruins this game, and by extension, Arkham Knight ruins this game. Every obnoxious Batmobile related thing is tied to him. Time to fight Arkham Knight's tanks. Time to fight Arkham Knights SUPER tanks. Time to fight Arkham Knight...in a tank. Time to chase Arkham Knight's militia. Time to fight Arkham Knight again...in a tank.
And Arkham Knight himself is a butthurt, whiny, emo little teen bitch who has you rolling your eyes throughout the game with his dialog. Plus, his identity is stupidly obvious and it's NOT a new character...so nice of Rocksteady to lie about that

Ok I think I've officially discovered two weird bugs in the ps4 version(don't know if they're fixed in the update I have pending) but one is where joker was talking to me and after he finished his spiel his feet kinda went into the ground(kinda like in cartoons/comics when someone steps into cement). Another was when I was taking down a riddler goon for interrogation in this one the guy looks knocked out and Batman is interrogating a invisible thug from the looks of it....really strange
